Trump said, “I watched, he fell harder than was pushed.”

I’d love to shove Trump’s fat ass and see how hard he falls. The only problem is that he would be cushioned from the blow by his layers and layers of fat.

https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/lo ... d/2425224/
A group of white men seen mocking George Floyd's death as Black Lives Matter protesters passed by included a corrections officer in South Jersey, officials confirmed to NBC10.

A man - whose identity has not been verified - was seen kneeling on another man laying down along Delsea Drive as a group marched past in Franklin Township on Monday. Another man with the group filmed the others.

The NJ Department of Corrections said in a statement that one of the men involved was a corrections officer at Bayside State Prison.

‘What I saw was just absolutely wrong’: National Guardsmen struggle with their role in controlling protests
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/0 ... sts-309932
“As a military officer, what I saw was more or less really f---ed up,” said one D.C. Guardsman who was deployed to Lafayette Square last Monday and who, like some others, spoke on condition of anonymity to speak freely. The official line from the White House that the protesters had turned violent, he said, is false.

“The crowd was loud but peaceful, and at no point did I feel in danger, and I was standing right there in the front of the line,” he said. “A lot of us are still struggling to process this, but in a lot of ways, I believe I saw civil rights being violated in order for a photo op.

“I’m here to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and what I just saw goes against my oath and to see everyone try to cover up what really happened,” the Guardsman continued. “What I saw was just absolutely wrong.”

While the Park Police cleared out the protesters, some Guardsmen said they felt they were there to actually prevent the police from beating up protesters, instead of the other way around.

“I felt that we were more protecting the people from the police,” said D.C. Guardsman Spec. Isaiah Lynch, who’s unrelated to Si’Kenya Lynch.

WH Press Sec Kayleigh McEnany is saying today that the 75 year old was not so innocent because he had some tweets with bad words in them. So I guess he deserves to be assaulted by police while participating in a peaceful public demonstration?

Knock him unconscious and then execute him for not complying with orders. I’m sure the cops thought was very clever.

Wow. But I can't say I'm surprised.

I'll be sharing this with family. If you look in the comments, somebody made a pdf of it.

I read that article A Cab wrote. I found it very informative. It was very long and well written. I find myself a little skeptical though. I want to know if A Cab is a real person.

I think the George Floyd killing and the other racial incidents/killings has sparked outrage and mass protests. Real change could be had right now if we act and do the right thing. What is the right thing? Abolish the police? Defund the police? Increase the police budget for more training?

The article points out that cops have to wear a lot of hats that they really aren’t trained to wear. They are the guys that get the call whenever there is trouble. One size fits all. Does more training help?

They are trained to think everyone is out to kill them and to place self protection above all other concerns. I get it. I wouldn’t want to be a cop for all the money in the world. I would be afraid every traffic stop could be my last one.

What is the answer? Defunding them out of spite just seems petty and won’t solve anything. Abolishing the police? Really? Just get rid of them and hope for the best? Take away their guns?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_us ... ed_Kingdom
In Northern Ireland, all police officers carry firearms. In the rest of the United Kingdom, only some police officers carry firearms; that duty is instead carried out by specially-trained firearms officers.

It seems to me their whole culture and training makes them who they are. For some the thought of strapping on a gun and having partial immunity attracts them to the job. A lot are ex military. I think we should make sure of the people who we are making cops out of. What does America want them to be? To serve and to protect Americans. All Americans. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Well, it’s broke. Now is the time to fix. What do we fix?

Tulsa Police Department Maj. Travis Yates says that cops need to increase their shootings of black people by 32%:
“All of the research says we're shooting African-Americans about 24% less than we probably ought to be, based on the crimes being committed.”

https://www.publicradiotulsa.org/post/t ... ably-ought
So I guess he is proposing that his police department starts increasing their shooting of African-Americans by about a third (24% less than it “should” be would equal a 31.5% “needed” increase) in order to reach his “goal” of “equality”?

How are people like this not fired immediately?

The fact that somebody high up in the police organization would say something like that publicly and without hesitation shows how big the scope of the problem is. These protests and reactions to them have been so illuminating. They are exposing a rampant problem in our police departments all over the country. If ever there were a time when cops ought to act squeaky clean and respectful, this is it. But many of them are doubling down, acting like bullies, crooks, mobsters, and bigots.

One white counterprotester yelled while kneeling on the neck of another who was facedown on the ground. The display drew fierce condemnation.

Yep, they can't even learn how to talk with non-racist speak.

On the other hand, I'm amazed and impressed that NASCAR is banning confederate flags and really going to bat for their one African-American driver, Bubba Wallace.
