The AZ Republican gubernatorial race is really a power play between Trump and Pence. Maga versus non Maga Conservatives. The soul of the GOP is at stake. Has Trump finally lost his grip on the party or is Maga coming back for round 2?

When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the American flag and carrying a cross.

She represents the fringe of the right. AOC is always represents the fringe left. Those two get a lot more press coverage than the sane moderates of their party. Cons use AOC as the Democrat spokeswoman of their party. Dems use Greene as the Republican spokeswoman of their party to maximize outrage against them. Both sides try to maximize outrage against the other party by demonizing them.

As you all know my mother gets a lot of GOP propaganda in the mail. Her latest mail from Trump and the RNC included this…

Dear Mrs. Blank, the liberal elites, the fake news media and the Marxist Democrats hate America, and they hate you.

The left wants you to believe that if you attend your children’s local school board meeting and questioned the leftists in charge why they’re teaching your kids radical ideology of critical race theory, you should be labeled a domestic terrorist and reported to the FBI….

If you support common sense election integrity measures like requiring voter ID, eliminating same-day and automatic voter registration, and acting enforceable standards for counting absentee ballots and prohibiting ballot harvesting, you’re unpatriotic….

And if you are having trouble paying higher prices for groceries, gas and everything else you must buy because of the raging inflation Biden‘s reckless socialist spending spree has unleashed on your paycheck, you have high class problems…

…This is……., the face of our Republican candidates in our party and the 2022 elections are both in the hands of patriots like you. Let me be perfectly clear about what is at stake for our nation if our party fails to win back control of the US house and US Senate or elect more Republicans at the state and local levels.

Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the far left over Lord’s will continue to ram their big government socialist agenda of more taxes, more spending, more illegal immigrant border crossings, more inflation and more regulations down the American people’s throat’s.

The Biden Democrats big tech cronies will use their terrible cancel culture to silence any voice that disagrees with their rush to tear down our society, our history and our America First Legacy so they can fundamentally transform America into a disastrous socialist welfare state.

When? It is here and has been for a while now. And it was dressed exactly this way.

America is pretty resilient. When enough Maga realize Trump was just an evil con man who used them, lied to them and got them to empty their bank accounts, he will have to worry about all those patriots coming for him. Fascist leaders always seem to go down hard.

America is just a giant game of tug a war. When one side pulls the rope one way, the other side is able to pull it back until it is close to center again. Moderates don’t get much airtime but they do vote.

From my moderate and slightly left viewpoint the fringe right has made serious political strides in the past decade and are emboldened to say the least. Trump tapped into their fears and amped them up to 11. They got total control over the Supreme Court. The RNC message to their constituents? Democrats are vile disgusting bad people who hate Republicans and who’s only goal in life is the destruction of America. Republicans are forced to vote Republican because the fate of humanity lies in the balance.

I am not sure on the resiliency part. We aren't even 250 years old, which is pretty young for a country. And we have already had a civil war, and are as divided today as ever. There isn't much tug of war going on, either. Rights are continuing to erode at a drastic pace, and there isn't an end in sight. If these rights are crumbling all around us while the party that supposedly champions expanding rights is in control of 2/3rds of the government, what will happen when they are back to 1/3 or even 0/3?

People are led apart by people. We are being divided by people intentionally dividing us. Rule #1 - Demonize the opposition. It’s part of competition. The system is set up for competing party’s. Now that we have a global instant media connection it has been taken to the ninth degree.

We need to find charismatic leaders who are able and willing to unite us instead of intentionally divide us. That is a must.

The Media has had a huge hand in all this. They chose sides and promoted one side and attacked the other side in the name of “news”. Maybe partisan news is here for good now. It is being used to divide us. It’s a bad thing. Freedom of the press to be not independent I suppose.

GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz caught on hot mic telling Roger Stone that "the big man" (Trump) would likely pardon him after being found guilty in his 2019 trial.

Everyone knows that Jan 6 was an inside job. If they put Gaetz in jail, I will find my faith in the system restored to some degree.

What do you guys think about living in Portugal?
The language barrier would be tough. My liberal brother and his wife and kids have had it with the GOP and are moving to Germany. Hope it works out for them.

I think I would personally move to Canada if I had a choice. English speaking, beautiful, more resilient to climate change, better politics. I think it'd be a good bet.
A friend at US government says that the Canadians will toughen immigration restrictions if a surge into Canada materializes. Advice was to do it sooner rather than later (my wife is Canadian).

Any of you following this Alex Jones trial? It's pretty hilarious. The prosecution keeps catching him in blatant lies and he looks like a complete fool. The judge seems like she's about had it, too.

And then of course there's the moment that has now gone viral where they surprise him by telling him that his phone was handed over to the prosecution along with 2 years of his text messages, none deleted or protected. And that several of those messages are him talking about Sandy Hook, despite his saying under oath that he has never texted about it:

One wonders what other treasures are buried in that phone of his.

Well his lawyer said today that "none of his intimate messages with Roger Stone" are trade secrets (and therefore not protected)... Like why drop his name?!?

It’s so much easier lying to your supporters on your own show than it is lying to a judge in a courtroom.
