This is interesting. I didn't know much about Biden's oil policy.

Philippines says it won't back down, but won't start a war, after clash with Chinese Coast Guard

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — The president of the Philippines said Sunday his country would not yield to “any foreign power” after Chinese forces injured Filipino navy personnel and damaged at least two military boats with machetes, axes and hammers in a clash in the disputed South China Sea, but added the Philippines would never instigate a war.

Beijing has escalated the already fraught situation with Taiwan by issuing a chilling threat to those championing the island's independence, declaring that such individuals could face the death penalty.

In an alarming statement, China's government has made it clear that it will impose the ultimate punishment on "diehard" leaders and activists who are pushing for Taiwan's separation from the mainland.

That’s very cool. It makes Biden look like a genius. OPEC tries to drive up prices by lowering output. Biden releases oil into the market from our reserves to keep prices down. Then prices drop and he buys oil back at a cheaper price to replenish supplies and makes a profit off the whole deal for America and breaks OPEC.

Except it glosses over the facts, and essentially lies to the ignorant and gullible:
1. He did it, because the prices were so high right before the midterms that it was killing the Dems in polling data on the economy. So it was mostly a political stunt to garner votes.
2. He actually didn't replenish what he took out. We are dangerously low and currently at a quarter full, when he inherited a completely full reserve(He can thank Trump for filling it up).
3. He's going to do it again and completely drain the STARTEGIC OIL RESERVES for his own gain, while leaving the country vulnerable on yet another front, while we are on the brink of war on 3 fronts. Just genius planning on his part.

It sounds like Biden used some of the strategic petroleum reserve in a time of need, and since then has bought back petroleum to restock it. Is the reserve currently running low / out?

The time of need was for poll numbers? He sold off 50% of the reserve and bought back 5% at a profit. That's the genius of Biden? Currently, we are at 367.9 million barrels of oil in the reserve. Our capacity is 714 million barrels. When the world is gearing up for WWIII, you don't drain your reserves, you fill them up before all hell breaks loose. He is planning on draining them again, to boost poll numbers. Sounds like he is doing it for himself again.

"Poll numbers" is your (biased) conjecture, not fact.

And? Where am I wrong?
He did it because….

He did it to get votes? He did it to piss off the Cons? He did it to make his dog happy? He did it to help Americans afford gas? He did it because he hates America? He did it because he pooped his pants? Making gas affordable is kissing ass for votes? Maybe. And maybe helping Americans afford gas is what a good President should do?

He didn’t replenish all of it but some of it.

He’s gonna do it again and drain all of it? He said that? No, you did.

Whatever Biden does in this global chess game, we can all be assured that anyone associated with Maga is definitely NOT going to have Biden’s/America’s back.

You could spend a week making up reasons why YOU think he did it.

Biden prepared to use oil reserves again to lower gas prices
By Washington Examiner Staff
June 17, 2024 5:29 am
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/poli ... as-prices/
President Joe Biden is prepared to release more oil from the country’s strategic reserves if gas prices increase during the summer. This is the latest plan by the Biden administration to counter higher prices at the pumps and the more expensive prices on various goods due to inflation.

A Biden administration energy adviser suggested gas prices are “still too high” for many in the country and said he favors taking action to “cut them down a little bit further.”

“We will do everything we can to make sure that the market is supplied well enough to ensure as low [a] price as possible for American consumers,” Special Presidential Coordinator for Global Infrastructure and Energy Security Amos Hochstein told the Financial Times. “I think that we have enough in the SPR if it’s necessary.”

Hochstein’s admission comes less than a month after the Biden administration announced it sold one million barrels of gasoline in the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve on May 21, less than a week before Memorial Day. At the time, the Department of Energy claimed the sale was “strategically timed and structured to maximize its impact on gasoline prices, helping to lower prices at the pump as Americans hit the road this summer.”

And you not getting what I said makes total sense to me. I should have just said you were making Biden’s motives up in your head.

Image

Her’s a graph of our ACTUAL reserves from the ACTUAL US government. This is for everyone else, not you In2. We know you will say it’s fake because it comes from the US government. This graph shows a fuel reserves that doesn’t look like it has been depleted to me. In fact look at the years from Trump. According to the graph the reserves dipped under Trump and totally filled up under Obama.

The graph doesn’t show the latest dip but, we used about half our reserves. This isn’t worth talking about anymore. In2 is just here to attack anything Biden no matter what. It’s all a waste of time.

Are they saying that we have over 40 billion barrels in reserve in that graph? Is that even for the SPR?

Here is where I'm getting my data from. Do you not think that energy.gov is a US government site? https://www.energy.gov/ceser/spr-quick-facts

A bunch of GOP and GOP-adjacent goobers on Twitter are happy about Assange. Let's not forget that he willingly worked with Russian intelligence to publish dirt about American politicians that influenced an election.

We shouldn't be surprised by this. I would say that the US does similar type things all the time, I imagine.
