^ Not sure that that is "abortion" related but it's fine to put it here.
Thank you, your Honor.
I know we talked about infertility, lower sperm counts and declining birth rates here, so this was the spot I thought it should be posted. It's not political though, imo.
"There are 3 rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy with the same first name as a city & never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Everything else is cream cheese."
IMO one of the biggest attack points against Trump is abortion. His SCOTUS justices overturning Roe will anger millions of women around the country. And there's been plenty of signs that the GOP wants to go further, such as banning mifepristone (abortion drug) or other abortion-adjacent things. This is not a popular majority position for Trump and the GOP. Biden should remind voters of this often.
FWIW, JD Vance says on the Sunday shows today that he "thinks" that Trump would veto a federal abortion ban if it came to his desk. Whether you believe him is up to you. It's interesting that Republicans have come to this point where now they have to claim to NOT want to ban abortion, since the issue has become so unpopular for them.
Donald Trump and his campaign seem to be having trouble with their messaging on abortion. Trump seems to want to avoid the issue by saying that it's up to the states, but then he briefly said he would oppose Florida's 6-week abortion ban, then his campaign walked this back.
Honestly I think it makes sense. If you think abortion is murder, why would you decide that it's okay to murder just because the baby is born of rape or incest? If it's really murdering a human being with a soul, why does its origin matter? I don't believe that, but it seems consistent to me if you start from the premise that it is a human life and that aborting it is killing that human life.
