That's no fun. If I'm wrong, I don't mind being put in my place.

All of this is why I don't talk politics with friends unless we're on the same side.

You don't have to block him, just don't read them. Otherwise, you won't be able to read his sane Phoenix Suns posts.

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
Ah, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me in the Politics forum.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
In2 may be wrong about some politics stuff, but I'd buy him a beer (or root beer) anyday. Same goes for any of you knuckleheads.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
Wow, this is a crazy story. Russia tried to have a German exec assassinated because his company was making arms for Ukraine.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
If Trump/Vance win, you can pretty much assume the US will halt all aid to Ukraine, which would likely give the war to Putin.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
If Trump wins, he would end the war and end the killing? How dare he do such a thing.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
I'd rather it had never happened, but I see no way that they give it back anytime soon.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
This is such BS. This man did nothing wrong. Putin is simply holding him hostage to punish the US and drive fear into the hearts of journalists. Of course, Putin's best pal Trump promises he'll somehow magically get Evan released on Day One if elected; we'll see.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
I have no doubt Putin would release him the day Trump was elected.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
Vance as Trumps VP pick makes it clear that all funding for Ukraine will stop the nano second Trump is in office. Putin couldn’t be happier. Europe is afraid and prepares for the worst knowing the US doesn’t have their back with Trump at the helm.

To the news of former President Trump’s selection of Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate, Western pundits and politicians alike reacted as if the end of U.S. support for Ukraine was all but a fait accompli. One senior European Union official called the pick a “disaster,” while an American news outlet published an article titled “God help Ukraine.”

This is about Russia and not Ukraine, but this seemed like the closest relevant thread.

The war in Ukraine is killing off the males in Russia. Putin on a campaign to get women to have more babies. Wars take a lot of bodies.
