Pretty true since MAGA has replaced what we used to known as Republicans. That party is pretty much dead.

The old Republican guard have left the building. The new bat shit crazies have taken over the party and they brought their sledge hammers with them.

The mental gymnastics Republicans have to go through to still support Trump.

Ya, we know Trump is all those things. We don’t care. He wants to own the Libs. We care about that.

What a piece of shit Bill Barr is. He acknowledges that Trump tried to overthrow the government and says Trump talked about having enemies executed. But says he'll still vote for him, because he didn't succeed at any of that... and because Biden is restricting cars and food and other things (?), which are truly dangerous infringements on our democracy.

Trump has started bashing RFK Jr. Somebody must have shown him those polls where RFK pulls more voters away from Trump than Biden.

RFK’s views on vaccines are the same as Trumps base and the opposite of Trump. That is the one place Trumps base totally disagree with Trump on.

Trump's position on vaccines is one of the rare issues on which he takes a sort of middle ground: he recommends the vaccine, but opposes vaccine mandates.

Trump actually kind of takes a middle ground on abortion. He knows his base wants it banned or restricted, but he also knows this isn't the most popular / majority opinion in the country. So he tries to have it both ways, making moves to help get Roe repealed but also not pushing for a national ban. I'm not saying he has awesome views on abortion; what he's done has been harmful. But most Republicans are more dogged on this issue than he has been, despite the monumental anti-abortion achievement of getting Roe repealed.

He wanted Roe overturned because it should be a state issue according to him. That would be the opposite view of wanting a national ban. It's not so hard to understand.
