Put abortion on the ballot and they will show up.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

AZ should be pretty embarrassed at the kind of GOP candidates they have chosen. Basically they've picked the most loony kooks in each primary, a bunch of election deniers and insurrectionists. You can't run a healthy country if 1/2 of it keeps nominating garbage humans like this for important offices.
I agree with your overall sentiment, but I think you are overly demonizing a huge chunk of humans. There are over 7.2 million people in AZ, and only 337,000 voted to nominate Lake. It isn't 50%, more like <5%.

The issue isn't that too many people are voting for awful candidates, it is that too many people aren't voting (and that is how the awful people want it and can control it).
It's that too few control what our choices are, for one...a positive for open primaries, for example...

I had hoped to move back one day. But if they elect goons like this I'm not coming back.

By this poll, Doug Ducey is the 2nd most unpopular governor in the country.

Republicans in AZ are already following people around who utilize early voting or mail in voting and harassing and intimidating them.

I wonder if they go everywhere with their tactical gear on. Chicks must dig it.

“The two armed individuals left the Mesa ballot drop box after Maricopa County law enforcement responded, according to the elections officials.”

Call the police.

They know that what they're doing is wrong. If it were good and right and legal, why not stay and greet the police when they arrive?

And what is the point of armed men in tactical gear observing ballot drop boxes? Does someone dropping off ballots legally look different than ones being dropped off illegally? Not that I know of. To be an observer you need to observe armed with maybe a camera, not assault rifles and body armor. That’s stupid. That’s just two dudes trying to look intimidating.
