Musk hyped a big "Twitter Files" article to be posted by former journalist Matt Taibbi. In a tweet thread, Taibbi describes some internal emails and chats sent by Twitter employees that he has been given (by Musk / his office?) that he feels show coordination with Democrats to censor articles and tweets about the Hunter Biden laptop story. The thread is long, maybe 35-40 tweets:

Based on the tweet thread, Donald Trump is now calling for revoting the 2020 election and/or throwing out its results and installing himself as President (because, why not):

IMO reading this I just don't see any "there" there. People were posting pornographic images of Hunter Biden naked without his permission, and the Biden campaign and other Democrats sent email to Twitter's Trust & Safety team to ask to have them removed. As per their standard policies, Twitter took these down. Politicians or candidates are always permitted to ask for T&S to review content for removal. I'm sure Trump's people did the same as did others. And Twitter is free to remove such content, and imo they should do so. What's the scandal here?

If anything, this document dump reveals that Musk has no hesitation about releasing private conversations between Twitter employees / former employees to the public, which seems pretty sketchy to me. He leaves most of their real names in the docs, which is likely to cause these employees to be targeted for harassment and threats. And I just don't see anybody in the released messages doing anything inappropriate. They are reviewing user reports of inappropriate revenge porn content and taking some posts down based on said reports. Musk claims this is a violation of the 1st Amendment. The 1st Amendment protects private citizens and companies from having their freedom of speech silenced by the government. Joe Biden wasn't even an elected official in 2020; he was a candidate and private citizen. How does the 1st Amendment even apply here?

Here's a good article from The Bulwark on the whole mess:

Trump is old news. His party has mostly abandoned him. All he has left is his Maga cult to grift from until they eventually catch on that he’s a con man. Musk’s antics are quickly growing old with planet earth as well.

Figured this should have its own thread. Whether you think it's a real scandal, a nothing-burger, or somewhere in between, it's got enough going on that it seems thread-worthy.

Those same people that are so upset that Biden’s son might have benefited from Joe’s position have absolutely no problem with Trumps son in law being the liaison to Saudi Arabia during Trumps tenure and then receiving $2,000,000,000 from the Saudi’s right after Trump leaves office.

Jared Kushner ‘crossed the line of ethics’ by taking $2B Saudi investment: Comer

How Did Jared Kushner Get $2 Billion From the Saudis?
Hint: It’s not because of his track record as an investor.

Jared Kushner's private equity firm concealed the origins of Saudi-backed funds and used the SEC's own rules to help them do it, report says

Profits from Trump and Kushner’s White House Connection to Saudi Prince Continue to Roll in
Their close ties to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman raise concerns about conflicts of interest for Trump
https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/p ... 234678351/
WHILE IN THE White House, Donald Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner cultivated close ties with the Saudi regime, and it’s paying off in the form of billions of Saudi dollars flowing into the two men’s post-presidency businesses. This is raising questions about how Trump and Kushner may have used their positions in government to ensure they profited when re-entering the private sector. With Trump’s announcement he is running for president again, the Saudi ties present a potential major conflict of interest, The Washington Post reports.

“The financial links between the Saudi royal family and the Trump family raise very serious issues,” Senate Finance Committee Chair Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) told the Post. “When you factor in Jared Kushner’s financial interests, you are looking right at the cat’s cradle of financial entanglements.”

One day after his White House job ended, Kushner started a company that later became a private equity firm. That firm accepted $2 billion in funding from a state-owned sovereign wealth fund chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Trump, too, has profited from post-White House Saudi investments. His golf courses have hosted tournaments for LIV Golf, which is backed by Saudi funds. Additionally, his company, the Trump Organization, has entered into an agreement with a Saudi real estate company that will construct a Trump-branded hotel in Oman.

Jared and Ivanka cut all kinds of shady business deals with the Saudis and China during and after Trump's time in office. Billions of dollars in deals. I don't like Hunter's sketchy behavior of selling shitty art for suspiciously high amounts of money. But it would be silly to pretend that the Bidens are a crime family without talking about this Trump / Kushner blatant corruption.

Yes, Hunter made it a clown show, as he defied the subpoena and didn't want to show up for questioning behind closed doors, which has been the way these things have been done first. Even the J6 committee did this. Later, they may want him to appear in front of the committee publicly, but that's not at his insistance, at the request of the committee. So this is just for show, which is kind of expected out Hunter at the direction of Joe(which he could be argued that was obstruction of justice).

That's ridiculous, since Trump put his business into a blind trust and didn't have anything to do with the business, per the Constitution. This is just a distraction by the disingenuous Raskin. Now, you're pushing it, and you know better? You're better than that, Mori.

I saw the movie. It’s called Leaving Las Vegas starring Nicolas Cage. Or is it Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?
