It takes a long time to list off all the bad things Trump didn’t do.

It's a shame that a real felony is being marred by a botched prosecution.

Well, we will never know how good a prosecutor he is. Republicans were able to get him knocked off the case. They wanted Fanni and got him instead. I’m sure they have a team of investigators working tirelessly going over her past, trying to find something they can hurt her with. This is the state level and Republicans pride themselves at staying out of state’s business.

That’s why right now as we speak, Republicans are quickly trying to pass legislation that allows the Federal Government to take state cases away from the states and allow Federal prosecutors to take over or dismiss of course.

Wouldn't "State's business" be run by a mix of both Republicans and Democrats in the state?

What you bolded is me saying Republicans in Washington want to take away state’s rights when they don’t approve of what they are doing, namely prosecuting Trump.

I’ll bite though. In some states, there are more legislators from one political party or the other, hence Red and Blue states. In those states the party with more legislators has more power.

I do think that the Fed should stay out of the state's business, but we've seen a lot of proof lately that state partisans are doing the work of their Fed teammates.

The GOP Feds, Supreme Court and the Red states seem to be working together nicely trying to abolish abortion. That’s called team work. They seem to be working together nicely trying to squash any legal proceedings against Trump. Once again, nice teamwork!

In theory this is dumb and should be rejected immediately. But it's Judge (loose) Cannon, who's blatantly in the tank for Trump, so who knows.

The claim is a far-fetched bid by Trump to scuttle the case altogether. Numerous courts have rejected nearly identical constitutional challenges to other special counsels.

And in a case that has moved like molasses for a year, Cannon’s decision to devote substantial time and resources to the argument is just the latest, and perhaps most blatant, example of her unusual approach. Her management of the case has frustrated the special counsel’s team and prompted critics to accuse her of being in the tank for Trump, who appointed her to the bench during his final year in office.

Later on Monday, Cannon plans to hear arguments on Smith’s request for an order barring Trump from lying about the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago that led to the criminal charges in the case.

Barring him from lying? Good luck with that.

Even Cuomo can see these cases would never have been brought against anyone else. That's selective prosecution, and is supposed to be protected against in the Constitution, under the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment. But, get Trump, right?

What does Cuomo have to do with anything? He's persona non grata in the Democratic party, and he had nothing to do with the decision of whether or not to prosecute Trump. His opinion on the subject means nothing. He didn't "admit" anything since it wasn't up to him and he has no special authority or knowledge of the situation. This would be like if I posted that Mitt Romney "admits" that Republicans are evil or something.

It's impossible to argue that these prosecutions were not malicious and selective, since no one has ever been prosecuted for these magically created crimes before.

Nothing. He's just a former high level Democrat, that actually was in the prosecutors office and has experience in with particular office and a lifetime Dem and New Yorker. He has some credibility to talk about it, and is giving his opinion.

Trump campaign seeks to head off convention revolt from its right flank
https://www.msn.com/en-ie/news/politics ... r-BB1oGNzp
PHOENIX — Arizona delegates to the Republican National Convention gathered this month in a Phoenix suburb, showing up to get to know each other and learn about their duties.

Part of the presentation included a secret plan to throw the party’s nomination of Donald Trump for president into chaos.

The instructions did not come from “Never Trumpers” hoping to stop the party from nominating a felon when delegates gather in Milwaukee next month. They instead came from avowed “America First” believers hatching a challenge from the far right — a plot to release the delegates from their pledge to support Trump, according to people present and briefed on the meeting, slides from the presentation and private messages obtained by The Washington Post.

The exact purpose of the maneuver was not clear — and left some delegates puzzled and alarmed. People familiar with the meeting, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations, said perhaps the intent was to block an undesirable running mate. Most of the dozen GOP officials or activists interviewed by The Post even ventured that the aim may have been to substitute former national security adviser Michael Flynn for Trump if the former president is sentenced to prison time. Among some on the far right, suspicions have intensified that the former president has surrounded himself with too many advisers beholden to the “deep state.”

They should really have a trial about this, or something.
