He's a career 40% shooter though so can't expect that nightly. The Bobster wrote:You have to like what Canaan gave us tonight in his first game!

I don't think he is injured, seems Triano is gonna do the same random DNP for one of the PGs like he doing with the Centerscarey wrote:I missed why Mike James didn't play. Injury?

Len and Bender with great games (for them), and when 2 of our shaky guys can play this well, we are actually an ok team.
Canaan wants to play in the NBA. You can see he's not quite in NBA shape, but oh man he really got after it.
Dear Eric Bledsoe, we've got a dude on a 10-day wearing your #. Have fun in Milwaukee.

Thank you free NBA league pass!
It’s nice not only when the Suns win, but I actually get to watch.
Len will be making some cash after the season. I was in the mindset that we would be drafting our next big(Ayton, Bamba, etc), but provided Len doesn’t want a fortune I say sign him and use our premium pick on BPA

Canaan, Bender, Len, and Jackson all impressed tonight.

The highlights will probably only show Bender in that play where Teague blocked his shot (and then Mutombo finger-wagged him). But Bender had a really solid game. I like his development so far even though he's still been inconsistent.

yeah, Canaan's career stats are not good assist wise eithercarey wrote:He's a career 40% shooter though so can't expect that nightly. The Bobster wrote:You have to like what Canaan gave us tonight in his first game!
it's another reflection on our coaching staff that it was mostly guys coming from other systems that rode this victory in
but
there's no mistaking that there has been improvements this week
we've competed each game
and, like we hoped, a couple of guys are learning how to step up without Booker
in particular, Daniels, Bender, and Len
Ulis had a good week, aside from tonight, and Jackson bounced back

So we cut DJJ to convert James' contract to a guaranteed deal and then we gave him a DNP.
Do I have that right?

i clearly misjudged Len a couple of weeks ago
and, apparently so did the Suns
can someone brief me on the Len story the past year (i missed it)?
i assume he was totally inconsistent, we passed on a contract, and now he'll be a free agent
what are the chances of signing him?
are we not playing him full-time because we're trying to move our other centers
and we're afraid of him shining too brightly in this contract year?

Yep, and no other team in the league was interested enough in Jones to sign him so he's back in the G-League.carey wrote:So we cut DJJ to convert James' contract to a guaranteed deal and then we gave him a DNP.

I don't know if there's really an obvious explanation for how Triano gives out playing time. I would think consistent time would be helpful for some of these guys.1tinsoldier wrote:i clearly misjudged Len a couple of weeks ago

I think Triano prefers to give some guys a lot of minutes in a game than fewer minutes every game. The Bobster wrote:I don't know if there's really an obvious reason for how Triano gives out playing time. I think this can work well for some players.

Career 35% from three. That’s respectable. But he moves, has a great handle, passes first and plays decent d.carey wrote:He's a career 40% shooter though so can't expect that nightly. The Bobster wrote:You have to like what Canaan gave us tonight in his first game!
He is also just not horrible, like Ulis. Honestly Ulis was totally overwhelmed out ther tonight. He played like a junior higher thriwing the ball away time after time.

Moore and Chandler are alternating sitting out games. I see nothing wrong with that since they both fill exactly the same role. Gives them rest and recovery time, avoids injury, keeps up their averages too. Smart solution.Furlanfufi wrote:The Bobster wrote:1tinsoldier wrote:i clearly misjudged Len a couple of weeks ago

It's hard to clean the glass from outside the 3 pt line.carey wrote:This is Bender's best game shooting wise. 6-10 from the field. 5-8 from 3. 17 points. Only 2 rebs though.
