More commercials than playing time in this game sheesh.
Re: Around the League: Week 26 4/11 - 4/17
Spurs with no real options on offense, just trying to buldoze inside.

Re: Around the League: Week 26 4/11 - 4/17
Kawhi couldn't even be bothered to show up and sit on the bench for a playoff game. Looks bad for the Spurs.
Re: Around the League: Week 26 4/11 - 4/17
I think Kawhi is gone from SA. I doubt we appeal to him, but I'd expect Boston, LA, Denver and really just about everyone to make a play for him. I'm sure we will too, but SA would want our top pick and I'm not moving that without a clean bill of health and a resigned Kawhi
Re: Around the League: Week 26 4/11 - 4/17
I think San Antonio will look to move him East. I think Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia and Milwaukee will be the frontrunners.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!
PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

Those teams would be scary. Could Cleveland make the trade without Love? Maybe if the Brooklyn pick goes top 3 but otherwise I think they have to include Love. Still, LeBron plus Kawhi is scary.INFORMER wrote:I think San Antonio will look to move him East. I think Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia and Milwaukee will be the frontrunners.
Not sure how New York puts together an offer, I guess just a bunch of picks and Ntilikina. Kawhi + Kristaps is another scary duo.
Philly has draft picks and could move Fultz and let SA rebuild him. They've also got Covington who is a nice Kawhi replacement for SA. Saric would also do well in SA, so Philly has a lot of options in putting together an offer. Kawhi/Simmons/Embiid is a multiple title winning good.
Milwaukee could build an offer around Middleton. Put Kawhi with Giannis and they could probably defend the entire floor.
Boston could build an offer pretty easily too. They've got draft picks plus guys like rozier, brown, and Tatum.
Re: Around the League: Week 26 4/11 - 4/17
Philly is really putting it on Miami here in the 2nd half. Simmons is really good and they have so much shooting with Reddick, Saric, Covington, bellinelli, ilysova.
Miami kinda feels stuck as a mediocre team for the next little while. Too much money committed to just ok guys like olynyk and Tyler Johnson. They might be better off moving guys like Whiteside and Dragic. They've got a couple really nice pieces, I like adebayo, justise Winslow, and Josh Richardson.

Re: Around the League: Week 26 4/11 - 4/17
I heard somewhere that Kawhi wants be closer to home and that this is a strategy to force himself out of SA to where he wants to go by trade or through FA the following year. He isn't buying the cult philosophy in SA and isn't about to take the Duncan like hometown discount. I also heard that he actually likes Phoenix and really wanted to play for the Suns coming out of college, but Blanks screwed that up.

I would love Jrue Holiday as our PG

Yeah, I actually thought about Boston, but then I felt like Ainge may say "thanks but no thanks." They were the best in the East with Irving, Tatum and Brown are on rookie deals, and Hayward is coming back. That's a tremendous situation to be in, and it may be good enough to pass on Kawhi Drama.Split T wrote: Boston could build an offer pretty easily too. I think they're the team. They'd build an offer around Brown, Rozier, salary filler and the Kings unprotected pick next year.INFORMER wrote:Yeah, I actually thought about Boston, but then I felt like Ainge may say "thanks but no thanks." That would give them a starting lineup of Irving, Hayward, Kawhi, Tatum and Horford. Insane.

He shouldn't, but they ask everyone to sacrifice financially to keep the Spurs winning.INFORMER wrote:Why would he have to?In2ition wrote:isn't about to take the Duncan like hometown discount

Where’d you hear that last piece? Kawhi refused to work out for Phoenix, which is why we didn’t consider drafting him.In2ition wrote:I heard somewhere that Kawhi wants be closer to home and that this is a strategy to force himself out of SA to where he wants to go by trade or through FA the following year.
