Just throwing this out there—it feels like my Bill Simmons question of the da: considering the skill set/personality, What are the odds we think of Ayton as Dwight Howard 2.0 five years from now? 30%? 40%?
10%. That's a stupid comparison. Howard is widely disliked by his teammates and coaches. He doesn't listen and does his own thing.

I actually was thinking of the comparison because Howard is disliked by his teammates—despite his skills, he has been run out of town by several teams. Articles about him say that he often cares more about getting more touches and building his brand then the team winning, and his personality eventually on teammates. My question is whether the same thing could happen with Ayton trying to earn his second paycheck.

There's always been a phoniness to DHow that's finally come to light. People gave him the benefit of the doubt in Orlando and LA but Houston, ATL and Charlotte all have the same story. I don't know that Ayton has that personality. I can take it if he's more playful and genuine like Embiid, or humble like Amar'e, so long as he backs it up.

I think it really helped Howard to have bigger personalities in the locker room in Orlando and LA.

I'm not worried about our boy Ayton being a locker room killer. Today is the day those of us with reservations (probably) put them aside and start rooting for the guy.

I actually started out pretty pro-Ayton, and I've become less excited as more content about him has come out.

I'll wait to see if he is the pick tonight, and make my peace with it then.

That's ridiculous. He's definitely no Dragan Bender!

I bet Dudley could touch the top on Bender's shoulders. However, I don't think Bender could lift Dudley.

and to that statement 'Bone , I give u a big AMEN to that bro
I love all the content n debates y'all have here but I know myself so I try not to get too wrapped up in too many players before they actually in purple n orange. I just hope we are looking like we are trending in the right direction after the dust settles tonight. I know it is unlikely for everyone to be happy with the picks, but the media is waiting to roast us every chance they get and I just want us to finally stop be a laughing stock and start shutting folks up.

Someone was worried that Ayton had a strong upper body and skips leg day. His legs look pretty thick and strong in that video. If only he had shorter shorts and we could see how thick his thighs are. I bet they aren't skinny.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Does he ever get nearly that high in actual games?

who here willing to trade josh jackson to sacramento or atlanta for 2 or 3?
In a heartbeat.
There isn't a question. A #2 or #3 pick in this draft is going to be better than Jackson.

I think you mixed up his comment. I think it was about Bamba.

What?!? You mean he's not going to be competing for a Mr. Universe title or given a big role in GOT any time soon? Damn...
