Your point is valid but is Devon Reed and JD really 3's?
Reed is a 2/3. The Suns have tried to force Dudley into being a stretch 4, but it hasn't looked good. So yeah, he is a 3.

If Shaq could shoot it, man, he'd be such a difference maker.
Jones and Vogel out, Lue or Lee in, draft Grant Nelson or Tyler Kolek.

Dudley looked like he had already retired late last season. Can't imagine he gets much playing time unless he really trims up in the off season.;

I bet they give Bender as many minutes as possible during summer league. Sink or swim time.
I agree with that approach.

Ayton is out of shape.
Do you mean like cardio-wise?

One thing that bothers me, like In2 mentioned, Ayton looks like he lost a lot of muscle.
You're insane.
OK.

Sink or swim time for a 20 year old? Yeah okay.

Dont even bring it up--Im working through the stages of grief, and bringing it up will just re-open the wound.

A few notes from the game for you guys.

Coach Koko is talking to every player that subs out individually every single time. Love that. Haven’t seen that at all in the other games from other coaches.

Ayton looks a little tired to me in person. Not completely gassed, but a little more out of breath than the other guys. If he’s missed practice, that could be all it is.

Ayton’s been listening to everyone who talks to him. Seems to take it in, ask questions. In general he seems to be a little confused on occasion, but never whining or moping (hello Chriss)

Our D in general looked really good except for a handful of miscues. Bridges was everywhere and blocked or altered a ton of shots. Thought Ayton’s D was mostly good - got lost a few times but nothing major.

Probably don’t need to comment on all the other stuff you’ve already brought up. Now Back to watching a terrible Prince impersonation for halftime!

Ill put it another way--If he has another year this year like last year, I would be surprised if the Suns include him in their long-term plans.

I think asking Bender to create off the dribble just isn't going to end up working. He isn't comfortable doing it and doesn't do it well. He is much better catching it near the free throw line and finding the open man coming from off ball screens. I think it is a mistake to push him to create off the dribble. They should just try to focus him in on defense, rebounding, and hitting the open three. Rebounding is really important for him this season.

It is like what they did to Len. Stop trying to make him a star and just focus in on his strengths.
