You can do it just as easily when falling or, in Kevin Love's case, doing bare knuckle pushups.

Here are some articles:

http://instreetclothes.com/2015/11/21/u ... oken-hand/

Can't speculate as to how he did it, but it does seem odd he went thru the entire summer with so much basketball activity and only now needed the surgery.

I had a fifth metacarpal boxers fracture in high school after doing something dumb. I had very minor "surgery" that didn't involve an incision but still hurt like hell. IIRC, I was in a cast for about a month and back to normal shenanigans quickly after.

I'm not arguing whether it's a new injury or not. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't the same issue he was dealing with last season. He was having wrist issues, but this surgery was on his pinkie. He obviously did something to it recently. I just think it's ridiculous to assume it's because he punched someone.

5th metacarpal breaks are colloquially known as “Boxer’s fractures” because people who do not punch appropriately and strike with the wrong end of the fist.

If you look, the others had third or fourth metacarpal fractures. Those are less likely a result of a punch, although I have seen plenty of fractures in the fourth from punching as well.

I have seen many Boxers fractures. I have never seen one as a result of anything but a punch. Not saying it’s impossible, just that it’s unlikely.

Of course, this could be some kind of ligament injury that needed to be repaired but again less likely given that he played just fine all summer. More likely something acute happened and more likely it is something he wouldn’t be proud of and that’s why they are so hush hush about it and it came out of nowhere.

Total bullshit. He had a boxers fracture repaired it sounds like. He injured it punching something or someone, very little doubt about that.
Most likely while wearing a bandana.

First surgery? At least it is the pinkie, which should play no mechanical role in shooting.

If timeline really is 6 weeks, I would expect him back in late November.

In my case it was in college. I was upset and decided to take my anger out on an inanimate object. I punched a file cabinet. I don’t know what was in the cabinet, but I hit something a lot more solid than the side wall of a file cabinet.

Yes, I have learned not to take out my anger on inanimate objects. Now I beat up puppies and kittens instead. Slowly working my way up the chain. Soon I graduate to humans, then God, then whatever supersupernatural being created Him.

I bet that cabinet never talked disrespectfully to you after that.

Did you guys see Booker posting an instagram of him riding a bike with no hands just before the injury made the news?

We mentioned it on the previous page. Hard to see it as a coincidence.
