I think we should all agree that the rookie/vet thing won't happen. We seem to have trouble just filling up our league, so getting an additional 6-10 teams will probably not happen.

Let's work on making the vet league the best it can be.
I'm fine with that, but someone's already gone and started a rookie league which basically supports what I just posted about.

As an aside, I'm not sure a keeper league is ideal because it essentially eliminates the opportunity to bring in new people.

Is it better to count active players here or on yahoo? Also, I don't remember how it was last year, but is it possible to set the draft order a few days before the draft? For research purposes :)

It is possible to set it before, though I guess we've always went with the intrigue.

Did we decide on a draft date/time? I can't do the one that's currently scheduled... But if it works for everyone else, I can manage

I likely have the most difficult schedule to match simply because of the time difference. These three windows work best for me.

October 12th: 3:00pm - 10:00pm PST
October 13th: 3:00pm - Midnight PST
October 14th: 9:00pm - Midnight PST

The Oct. 5-7 weekend would also work for me with those same times.

October 14th would be best for me of those dates. I could also do 6th or 7

Does 10/14 at 9 pm PST work for everyone? Pretty late for the East coast though.

No good for me sorry. It will be Monday afternoon here and I'm zero chance of drafting at work. If it works for everyone else I'm happy to auto draft or hand my spot to someone else

I'll be auto drafting since I'm on the East Coast, but I don't really care since I end up auto drafting every year anyways.

I can manage that.

Would the 6th be a better option for those living in earlier time zones? It's a Saturday, so it's likely not a work day/night on East coast, Europe and Asia.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I counted 11 players in this thread:
  • Superbone
  • pickle
  • BigLewy
  • Gladiator
  • Shabazz
  • Split T
  • Flagrant Fowl
  • biGDRAWLS0072
  • ShelC
  • bajanguy008
  • Hermen
The league does not look crowded at this point.

I guess there're a couple others who don't post.

I'll make do with whatever time. I'm based in Asia but am in Europe for another 2 weeks, but since I'm on vacation I try to avoid the normal daytime hours when I'm supposed to be with my family. Prefer around midnight time eastern time zone (6-7 am depending on where I am at the time), but I'll make any time work. Heck last year I missed the draft entirely and autodrafted, and the computer picked Aldridge and Barton for me.

I can make any time work but hoping everyone can be present for the draft.

Good luck, everyone. Winner gets to be the new Suns GM.

Wow. Read this forum first. Thought to myself, "Ha, funny." Then went and saw the main forum and saw the new thread title. Haven't even read it yet. Color me surprised!

I'm very unlikely to be able to make the new draft time. I'm happy to hand over my spot in the draft if there's someone who can draft live.
Otherwise I'll have to autodraft, which isn't ideal for anyone. Is there anyone looking to get into the league who hasn't because of a lack of spots?

Ryan McDonough suddenly has time on his hands. Maybe you should ask him.

It’s the only management job he’s going to find in the foreseeable future.
