First 20/10 of Ayton's career!
20-14-5. He's pretty good but his defensive awareness is such a bummer.
Go Suns!

I'm fine bringing Warren off the bench, but he needs more than 24 minutes if he's playing like this

He's a rookie, rarely do rookies have good defensive awareness

Only thing to cheer for now is to see if we can force a couple of their starters to return.
I guess I had to settle for Curry's brother-in-law not scoring.

Maurice Stokes, Elvin Hayes, and Deandre Ayton are the only three players in NBA history to have a 20/14/5 game within the first three games of their career.

-Holmes should be taking 100% of Chandler’s minutes.
-I like the Booker, Warren, JJ, Ariza, Ayton lineup
-Ariza was garbage tonight. Looked really disinterested.
-More Mikal please
-We really need a PG, guys..

Less Anderson, but I wouldn't play Bender. Just more Warren/Bridges/Jackson. I'd give Holmes a shot to do something over Chandler.
Yeah. I keep forgetting Holmes is bigger. No reason for Chandler to be getting any minutes. Dude is done.

I’d feel better about this game if we played harder. Not enough effort until it didn’t matter.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Believe it or not -- I really liked what I saw from Bender today. He didn't do anything except get scored on -- but his body language was good and he was fully in control. He knew what he was supposed to do and did it with confidence. Let's not expect too much of him and see if he is turning the corner.

Indeed, I wonder if it might be time to replace Anderson with Bender in the starting lineup. If Bender sucks, you can always yank him.

In theory, he's the big, mobile, 3-balling, shot-blocking PF that would be perfect next to Ayton. Call me crazy but I'm shifting in favor of extending his contract. Maybe I won't buy a place on Bender Island but maybe open to signing a short-term apartment rental.

Anderson and his stupid ass haircut are terrible. He provides nothing but bricks on offense and concrete feet on defense. Send him to Supercuts and never let him return.

He played seven minutes and had no shots, turnovers, etc. except for three assists. I fast forwarded the minutes in which he played, though, so I don't recall how he looked.

But to really maximize Crawford's effectiveness, you need him to run a pick-and-roll with an effective big man. This is no longer Tyson Chandler.

Bender had 1 foul and 1 rebound in 3 minutes. That was enough for him to shine for you? I get that Anderson is about the worst player on the team right now but how on earth Bender was able to wow you in 3 minutes is beyond me.

I'm kidding. Crawford is trash.

It wasn't his productivity, it was his body language and sense of confidence. There's never been anything wrong with Bender's skill set and he's grown into an NBA body. What's always been wrong is his head. Well -- he's been relegated to the deep bench and he came in ready to play, and made a nice entry pass within the flow of the system. Maybe he gets a few minutes up front next time, and he gets to stay in if he plays well.

Edit -- and yes, I would not be saying this if Anderson didn't suck.

Ayton has made 11 of 12 free throws so far this year (92%)
