Game Day: Timberwolves (13-15) @ Suns (5-24), Sat 12/15/18

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

The Timberwolves come to the Valley for the first of three meetings this year. The Wolves have yet to beat a Western Conference team on the road this season. The Suns had maybe their best game of the season on Thursday when they locked in defensively against the Mavericks.

Go Suns!!!

Uh. I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but you absolutely have to shut Ariza down if you are still trying to imminently trade him. You can't risk him getting hurt.

theres no rush to trade him. hes in demand, and this team wont have any problems finding takers for ariza..

shutting him down indefinitely is not a good idea, and also sends the wrong message... that this team is desperate to get rid of him when that is not the case. suns have until feb 2019 ...

edit: oops...

Sounds like booker is a go tonight. Melton-Booker-Bridges-Warren-Ayton

Bench should be Crawford-Daniels-Jackson-Holmes tonight maybe bender or Moreland gets some minutes. Will be curious where rivers and oubre fit in the rotation. Someone will lose minutes, probably Daniels. Jackson or oubre will have to play some backup 4.

Really? Wow. Didn't think we'd see him until the road trip at the earliest. I sure hope he's not rushing things.

Wow. I think there's a real chance we could win two games in a row.

Then we have the knicks on Monday. That’s another very winnable game

I am a little nervous too. All I can think about is Kevin Johnson II.

Hopefully the Suns won’t be fresh meat for them and are able to keep them in the kennel where they belong.

We’ve got a little momentum here with the Dallas win, Booker’s return, a recent trade, and the fact that the Wolves are an incompetent road team. Let’s win this one!

Why not actually play it safe and when he thinks he is ready to return, you sit him one more game just to make sure?

With the fiasco about the arena funding, the fiasco about our aborted trade, and the general fiasco that is our terrible season, it puts bad incentive structures on the team that will encourage them to make stupid decisions to try to eke out a few wins or perceived short-term victories. Making that Washington trade is one example; rushing Booker back to try to get a win is another. Booker should sit until after New Year's IMO; let him rest and heal. Go spend time with your family, Book. Get well.

Yeah, I would have no problem with him resting for a couple more weeks to make sure it's completely healed.

What is completely unacceptable is playing him on a day that he is listed as questionable. If there is still any question on whether he is ready to return, then he should not be returning.

Frustrating, Ayton was very engaged and playing well but has to sit with two fouls. Now we have nobody capable of guarding Towns at all.
