So, here's my question - does anyone here really think Booker is an All-Star?

To me, I think he's clearly behind Curry, Lillard, Harden and Westbrook, and probably behind Holiday, Conley, Fox, (a healthy) Paul and DeRozan.

So I see him as somewhere between 7th and 10th best guard in the WC. Any thoughts?

Yes. Have you seen his numbers since he's come back healthy? They are elite. 29.3 points 8 assists and 4.4 rebounds.
Go Suns!

I don't really care about All-Star teams or votes but I would put Booker just behind that first group or on the cusp and ahead of the 2nd group.

The truth is no one is getting into the all star game on a 9-29 team. If you switched booker and fox and booker had Sacramento on the edge of the playoffs, he’d be a no brainer all star selection with his numbers.

I think Booker is better than most of that latter group: Holiday, Conley, Fox, Paul and DeRozan. But as others have said, our team record is really bad and that will be used against him. Once we start winning, he'll make the All-Star team right away, even if his individual numbers are no better.

I think Booker is probably ahead of the latter group as well.

Old school time. Back when we were discussing these things on Usenet, I used to refer to Doug Steele’s Cumulative Tendex scores. Well, Doug’s still around and doing his thing, and this is how CT picks the All-Stars.

East starters: Antetokounmpo, Griffin, Embiid, Simmons, Wall
East reserves: Leonard, LaVine, Vucevic, Irving, Walker, Drummond, Lowry

West starters: James, Durant, Davis, Harden, Westbrook
West reserves: George, Randle, Jokic, Curry, Holiday, Towns, Booker

Honorable mention*: Capela, Gobert, Ayton, Jordan, Doncic, DeRozan, Beal, Lillard, Fox

* CT of at least 25.00 and top ten at position.

Not bad, I’d replace wall, LaVine, and Drummond with Beal, Oladipo, and Butler? Maybe Middleton.

For the west, no chance pelicans get 3. I’d take out randle and replace with either Harris or Gallinari. Lillard replaces Booker most likely, although he could replace holiday or Westbrook too. Westbrook is averaging a triple double again, but his shooting numbers look very similar to josh Jackson. His defense is up this year, but he really needs to stop shooting.

Here’s how WS does it:

East starters: Antetokounmpo, Leonard, Embiid, Irving, Simmons
East reserves: Siakam, Griffin, Vucevic, Walker, Bledsoe (!), Sabonis, Allen

West starters: George, Durant, Davis, Harden, Lillard
West reserves: James, Gallinari, Gobert, Curry, DeRozan, Capela, Adams

Honorable mention (top 24 in WS but excluded because we already have four Western Conference centers): Jokic, Harrell, Towns, Ayton, Jordan

Suns’ frustrations bubble to surface in fifth consecutive loss

Devin Booker drew a third-quarter technical for slapping the ball out of bounds, upset that his tough finish through contact did not also result in a foul.

That whistle came after teammate Kelly Oubre picked up a technical for comments directed at the official while walking back to the bench. And after Deandre Ayton slammed his hands against a bench chair after being subbed out just before halftime.

The Suns dropped their fifth consecutive game Friday night, a 121-111 loss to the Clippers at Talking Stick Resort Arena. The defeat followed what has become the theme of this homestand: Tumbling into a significant first-half deficit, then staging a furious rally attempt that falls short in the final period.

This time, though, the 9-31 Suns’ festering frustrations visibly bubbled to the surface during and after their latest rough outing of a forgettable first half of the season.

“This is the same old problem that we’re still looking for the solution for,” said franchise guard Devin Booker, who finished with 23 points and four assists. “ … There’s still over half the season left, and it will be a very long season if we keep coming out and playing like this.

The Suns are currently on schedule to finish worse than last year with 18 wins but I do think it's a better team and they'll surpass last year's 21 victories. But maybe not by much due to their lousy start. We'll get some wins over the other mediocre teams once we sprinkle them in again.

Big fan of Acy. Solid hustle and energy guy, good rebounder. Similar to Holmes, a little less athletic.

Big fan of Acy. Solid hustle and energy guy, good rebounder. Similar to Holmes, a little less athletic.
Agreed. Whilst we still need a pg, Acey is someone we can throw in there if our energy dips. Always hustles on D. A good role model signing like the Crawford one.

Acy was not great last year, but it doesn't matter. I don't think he'll be playing much. Just... if we're playing a guy that can't shoot then we should be playing Bender.
Go Suns!

I think Quincy Acy sucks. That is all.
👀 Fire Frank Vogel.

This kind of explains the move. Can't say I disagree, just a matter of how much Acy can impact things tho I'm not expecting much:
