Firing Igor right now would be a colossal mistake. What kind of message does that send to future candidates?
I have been wondering what we would do with him if he fails to win even 15 games. That is all time bad. A sub .180 win percentage. It's not the lack of a PG that has us losing this many games. Watch how we play in the 4th Q and tell me it's totally a PG issue? Oubre rushing just the worst shots. Running out weird line-ups that don't make any sense. Not getting Ayton the ball where he can succeed. (Yes he's a jump shooting C right now but he's really good at it so when you don't score for 5 minutes maybe give him the ball 5 straight times and get some points on the board.)

Anyway, I have said this all year. These players don't connect with Coach K. I think there's a language issue but no one seems to want to be the one to say it. I'm an educated person that watches a lot of foreign Tv and I can barely understand him half the time. I can only imagine what it's like for some of the players. I also don't think he's strict enough. He's a quiet push over. They need a Scott Skiles type. I know that s*** only works for a couple of seasons but they are in desperate need of some discipline right now.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck around the remainder of the season, even next season, or if he's fired tomorrow. Why? Because we have no plan in place. That much is readily apparent.
The Suns have been shooting the ball horribly and he finally gives Daniels some time, albeit not until the 2nd half, but he was a difference maker tonight.

Who could fault him for retiring?
I'd be sad to see him leave, but he's had a great run.
It's not like he'll miss out on an impending championship drive.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?

To be fair to the staff, this is the best that Daniels has played as a Sun. He was actually driving and hitting some mid-range shots. He was actively attempting defense. Usually he comes in, makes two shots, and then proceeds to brick everything else and offer nothing else. I was very pleasantly surprised with his game tonight.

“We played desperate. We played with a sense of urgency,” Kokoskov said. “To find that grit, to find that sacrifice for the team in this kind of moment, it just tells you what character you (have) as a person, as a basketball player.”

While trying to recount the events of a wild fourth quarter, Suns star Devin Booker conceded, “I don’t remember.”

His two free throws with 17.3 seconds remaining — which came after tumbling to the floor as Josh Richardson attempted to swipe the ball away — turned out to be the game-winners. But Phoenix got contributions from the bulk of its rotation, particularly during a 40-point fourth quarter.

Crawford, who did not play Saturday in Atlanta, scored 16 points, while Troy Daniels, an emergency sub when Booker picked up his fourth foul early in the third period, added 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Tyler Johnson totaled 18 points and five assists while playing through an apparent elbow injury in his quick return date with his former team. Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 11 of his 16 points in the final period and grabbed the game-clinching rebound. The Suns eventually slowed Heat big man Hassan Whiteside, who had more fouls (three) than points (two) in the fourth quarter after racking up 27 points and 11 rebounds through the first three frames.
Turns out that Daniels only played out of necessity due to Booker foul trouble.

Thanks for posting that. But, ugh, who produces those videos for ESPN? They kept cutting to weird camera angles. They even had a point where they showed a split screen with *two* angles, both on Woj. Why? Stupid. Whoever edited that video needs to take another Adobe Premiere tutorial or something.

Is it the age or the Suns play?

Even McCoy is turning his back on this train wreck.

Completely randomly, I just wanted to thank all of you folks for posting here. This team is so dreadfully bad, and it can be really tough trying to be a Suns fan. But having a community of other bozos like you to suffer through it with makes it tolerable. I know we'll all be over the moon one day when the team finally returns to glory. I appreciate you. <3

He probably has an Eric or Donald Jr. equivalent he'll leave the team to.
