Sucks but there is still hope with the 6th pick. Draft Brandon Clarke, trade Warren, Tyler Johnson, Mil pick for Conely.

Dump Jackson, maybe sign TJ McConnell?

Conley-Booker-Oubre-Clarke-Ayton.

Bench squad- McConnell-bridges- Holmes

With a healthy Booker and big leaps from Ayton and Bridges, this could be a playoff team.

Now that Memphis gets Ja Morant I don’t think we even would have to give up that much to get Conley. They might give us a pick for taking his contract!

It’s a dollar for 60 cents. I’d almost argue that the 30th pick is almost more valuable because the talent drop from 6th to 30 isn’t that huge but the salary cap hold is significant. Josh doesn’t have much trade value right now.

I wonder if anyone has enough cap space after next year where he would opt out of his contract. I doubt it. But even if he doesn't, it is only 2 years. We don't have to resign Ayton before then, and doubt we will Josh.

Would have to find him in FA...this trade would give us about 12 million in cap space...Could get up to 25 million if we stretch Tyler.

Or draft Nickeil Alexander-Walker at 16...You’d need a vet pg to bridge the gap though(Collison)

I think so. Feel like there is too much bad blood with everyone involved. Zion is great but he is not making them instant title contenders, it will probably be another year or two for that and it sounds like Davis wants to complete for a title now.

Hmm. Gordon isn't a huge rebounder and is a minus defender (slightly).

If he goes to LAL like everyone is saying he wants, they won't be contenders next year. They would have to give up too much to get him. If he still wants out, it has to be for money/market. Not winning. Unless he wants to go to GSW.

Shams tweeted that this didn’t change his trade demands. Having #1 makes it easier to trade him though. Would Knicks do Robinson/Knox and #3?

Jrue/RJ/Knox/Zion/Robinson

Lots of options for Pelicans...Good for Gentry and Griffin...and our former training staff...they will probably be my bandwagon team if we suck again next year.

What if Davis says trade Zion for LeBron to win now and I’ll stay. Does Griff do it?

Good thing Sarver took Larry Fitzgerald to watch Ja Morant.

I think #6 is fine if they want to keep it. There's a nice group of guys who can at least be solid role players. That is, if the Suns are actually prepared to draft the right guy.

This is why it's inexcusably dumb to not have a scouting staff.

Any chance at moving up?

Gotta think Grizzlies just take Ja and move on from Conley, right? Or do they like RJ?

If they draft RJ, would Knicks trade back? How committed are they to Dennis Smith?

No. I think Griff knows all too well how much it takes to have James on your team.

Lakers trade the 4th pick with youngsters for Anthony Davis?

...which means the Pelicans could pick 1 and 4? Hmm
This totally happens and they hope RJ falls to play with Jrue and Zion.

I think it depends if they can get value for Conley. 30M/year is a lot.

Memphis is rebuilding, no way they trade the pick. They'll want our pick or Bridges in a deal right? Would they make the trade for late picks and TJ?

Best case scenario is we can get Conley on the cheap and still be able to deal JJ, Warren, and the 6th pick so as to get a starting PF and maybe re-sign Oubre.

We've already spent a bunch of time talking about how most of these prospects have the same amount of risk.

I think that moving up in this draft is dumb, unless its for #1 of course.
