Trump isn't leaving office in 2020 if he loses. Get ready for it.
That’s funny. We said the same thing about Obama in 2012 and when he couldn’t be re-elected in 2016.
Yes, but the difference was that Obama was not a reprehensible man who openly praised and courted authoritarians and dictators around the world, nor who has repeatedly talked about elections being "rigged" or that he had 2 years of his term "stolen" from him, that the media was all "fake" or "the enemy of the people," etc. I don't think it is at all far-fetched to worry that Trump would do one or all of the following:

- try to influence the election outcome in unfair ways (e.g. putting ICE agents around all polling places to scare immigrants away from voting; trying to change the day of the election; creating a crisis or distraction on election day to make it harder to vote; spreading misinformation about the election; etc.)

- denounce the result of the election as illegitimate if he loses ("it was rigged", "the vote counts were altered", "voter fraud", etc.)

- formally challenge the election result (via a lawsuit, refusing to concede, executive orders, etc.)

- claiming that it is not fair for him to leave office until said lawsuit/challenge is settled

- letting said challenge drag out for months and months, all the while remaining in office

- using the secret service, US Army, ICE, or other armed forces to try to remain in the White House by force rather than exit office

- ...

I do *not* think it is a crazy conspiracy theory to be worried about any of these things. Trump has used the military for purposes they are not supposed to be used for, such as manning the border. He has turned ICE into his own personal gestapo. He has fired all the heads of the Secret Service and replaced them with his own goons. I'm not saying he is 100% going to do the above things, just that we should at least think about the possibility and prepare for how we might deal with it if the worst happens.

I think he/the people around him know that stuff sounds crazy, so instead he will do what most presidents do that are afraid of losing an election--start a war.

These things are not mutually exclusive. Add "start a war" to my list; he'll probably do that. War with Venezuela, with North Korea, with Iran. They're already talking about it, sowing the seeds.

Didn't he just send an entire carrier group and several stealth bombers towards waters off iran's coast?

https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4425 ... oat-report
The network, citing several U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the situation, reported that movement of the missiles along with intelligence from other areas led the Trump administration to believe Iran had an intention to launch strikes against U.S. targets.

National security adviser John Bolton on Sunday announced that the USS Abraham Lincoln strike group and a B-52 bomber task force were deploying to the U.S. Central Command region “to send a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on United States interests or on those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force.”

Haven't like half the country been saying the same thing about Trump since the election?

Alright. I guess it's not surprising that this is happening.

Not at all. And keep in mind one that Trump has done better than any president I have seen--make rallying cries about opponents, built entirely from things he has actually done.

There's a difference between a random internet troll using the word "treason" and the President of the USA using it about his political opponents.

Trump posts doctored video of House Speaker Pelosi, altered to make her appear drunk or confused.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technolo ... ial-media/

Is this acceptable behavior from our President?

That is a very personal question. If you are asking, will anything be done about it and will people that support him already turn on him? The answer is no. It doesn't matter. This is a guy that was blatantly racist and misogynistic and it didn't matter. It probably helped him.

It just happens that he became President. His political opponents have been doing it for years now. Please just stop with the hypocrisy and false outrage like it's just happened and he's the only one to ever do it.

treason is punishable by death. he is the president of the united states. it isn't hypocritical or false outrage to say it is despicable for someone in his position, the head of the executive branch, to accuse someone of treason without evidence. i doubt he could even tell you what treason means, much less have evidence of it.

Wake up, man. Our Hitler is rising and you don't even mind. He is literally tearing down our system of government piece by piece and installing a new system of corrupt cronies, unqualified judges who have pledged personal loyalty to him, soldiers / border security / secret service who have been shown that they can break any law and be pardoned so long as it is in service to him. He orders his people to defy court orders, subpoenas, anything necessary to personally protect himself. He collaborates with enemy nations and works to undermine our democratic free and fair elections themselves. He threatens to "lock up" his political opponents for doing their jobs, including them of treason and crimes punishable by death. He orders his Attorney General to begin investigations into his election opponents and orders his lawyer to Ukraine to ask them to begin a similar investigation. He embezzles money from our government and insists that foreign dictators line his pockets before meeting with them. He openly pushes for laws to remove rights from immigrants, minorities, and the LGBT community. He locks kids in cages, takes them from their parents, and lets them get ill and even die. He turns refugees away in defiance of international agreement. He pulls us out of several of our international treaties and agreements with other nations. He deploys the military at his whim and to further his political ends, such as sending them to the border to scare immigrants. He calls the media the "enemy of the people" and says little when open acts of violence are committed against them. And now he's openly spreading false videos about his opponents to hurt them in the next election.

Literally if we do not get this guy out in 2020 we are going to devolve into a dictatorship. Our great nation will be gone. This is an existential crisis.
