We have zero need for Livingston
He’s a winner and Tyler isn’t that good of a PG. Tyler can play SG. I was never a fan of Tyler running an offense. He just looked better because OKobo and Melton looked so horrendous. Livingston fits better than other options right now.
Livingston isn’t very good. He’s old and pretty limited nowadays. And we just signed Rubio, plus I think Tyler is better. Also we drafted Ty Jerome, I’d rather give him the backup pg minutes. We also have carter, okobo, and Lecque.

It’s barely July 10th, not sure why people are freaking out over Oubre not being signed yet. This isn’t anything like Bledsoe yet.

Key word being “yet.”

We are probably freaking out because we’ve seen this before.

With a completely different front office and different player. I don’t think there’s any reason to think this one will go the same. It could of course, but I’ll start worrying when it gets to August.

I agree with Split - people should chill on this one until we get into August.

Different front office. SAME douchebag owner. You’ve seen how this ends before.

This isn't about being cheap. It's about not hamstringing ourselves with a terrible contract. At this point, we are the only game in town for Kelly. The market price for his services is what we are willing to offer. It would be quite stupid for us to negotiate against ourselves.

At one point will they start leaking their differences in the negotiations in the press and Booker starts chiming in? Another week or two? I just am tired of the same ugly news.

Well there isn’t any news, you’re creating news that isn’t there. But it is hard to blame you or anyone else. We’ve become accustomed to a lot of worst case scenarios here.

Kelly Oubre Jr. Restricted Free Agent Watch

I don't understand why you're freaking out about Kelly Oubre. He was sitting there to get an offer sheet and didn't get one. I like him. I'm happy to pay him reasonably. But some of you are acting like he was a top FA. He should be in the fourth tier of guys. Like Marcus Morris crushed him in win shares and shot the ball better though his value over replacement is similar. Marcus was supposed to sign for the MLE. Some of you are talking about giving Kelly TWICE that. Why?

I feel like Kelly is using Harrison Barnes as a reference point, when you're right, he should be using Marcus Morris.

I don't think we're the bad guys here. From reading the tea leaves, I thought we had agreed on something prior to free agency and Kelly saw some players get more and wants some of what they got. And the Suns are rightly holding firm.

Pure guessing here, Suns were offering $14-15M annually. Kelly looking for $18-20M. Neither side budging.

I'll be honest; I really don't care about any of those metrics. But this is food for thought, and the overall point is a fair one. Thanks for lending some perspective.

It being 2 years is strange. I would have thought 3 or 4 but they must have some kind of plan. Unless it's a 1+1?
