Re: Around the League: The Off-season
If we sign him, he’ll disappoint us, and this board will become a Linch mob.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
What I wouldn’t have given for Lin or McConnell last fall.
Re: Around the League: The Off-season
We can keep doing this all offseason. There’s a Linfinity of puns to be made on the name.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
Aren’t we supposed to do it Lin order?
Re: Around the League: The Off-season
Yeesh. You guys are relintless.
Re: Around the League: The Off-season
Better here making Linsipid puns than getting Linto trouble on the streets.
Re: Around the League: The Off-season
SDC just doubling and tripling down on the earnest "we should sign Jeremy Lin" posts while all pun hell breaks loose around him is my favorite part of this thread.

Ain’t it grand? It is a Linstant classic.

Here are FiveThirtyEight's predictions for the next NBA season. 538 is not a sports site primarily; they crunch numbers and stats and data. So mostly I don't take their views too seriously. But it's interesting to see where they think the data points for the season to come. For example, they like the 76ers and Rockets (!) best among all NBA teams in terms of likelihood to make the Finals. They have our Suns as the 5th-worst team.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
If you use their playoff filter, which takes a few bad players out of the rotation(okobo, Carter) and lessens minutes for negative players(Kaminsky) and increases minutes for positive players, our win total jumps to 44. Now of course you’d have to do that for every team to be fair, but it pretty much lists us as a league average team with our playoff rotation. That rotation is essentially, Rubio-Booker-Bridges-Saric-Ayton-Johnson-Oubre-Kaminsky-BaynesMarty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 9:30 amHere are FiveThirtyEight's predictions for the next NBA season. 538 is not a sports site primarily; they crunch numbers and stats and data. And with a 13% chance to make the playoffs (which I think is being generous).
