Game Day: Suns (1-1) @ Trailblazers (1-1), Sat 10/12/19

Post by Superbone »

Time: 5:00 pm AZ (5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET)
Place: Moda Center, Portland, OR
TV: NBA TV

Finally a game I can watch on the big TV while sitting on my comfy couch! We're half way through the exhibition season. Let's hope we see a better effort from the Suns in this one than the Kings game. Will we get the opening night starters in this one?

Go Suns!!!

Sucks for viewing as fans but, probably a smart move. I haven’t subscribed to nba tv. Hopefully I’ll find the game somewhere.

Blech. Not much fun without our entire Big 3 playing. I guess I'll get to see the younglings go to work a bit, but it should be a romp.

Kind of lame. Our guys need to be playing right now building chemistry in actual games.
Go Suns!

Lineup of Carter, Bridges, Oubre, Saric and Baynes. They're playing well, real active on D, and are knocking down shots. Just have a bounce to their step and playing hard. Kelly with some nice drives and a 3, Baynes with a 3, Bridges with a nice drive baseline (almost flubbed the dunk).

Load management.

They have played two games already.

Blazers closed the quarter strong to take a 33-32 lead. Our 2nd unit - Jerome, Johnson, Cam, Dario/Frank/Baynes - played well for the most part but the Blazers D tightened up and CJ got hot. Tyler Johnson is forcing a bit, otherwise the offense has looked good with a lot of spacing, passing and good looks at shots. Jerome's been running point and doing well, Frank's looked good on offense, Cam never looks like he's never going to miss. We still lack speed/athleticism and shotblocking up front and really rely (too much?) on perimeter shooting.

But it’s our first game on TV. Couldn’t they have load managed one of the other games?

Al just called this the best half of Suns pre season basketball so far. Ayton, Booker and Rubio gone. Lol

Carter is killing me. The rest of the team looks great. I don’t see much of a basketball PG in him.

Oubre looked in top form.
Bridges has really filled out. Dude is a stud.
I really like Cam and Ty already, even when they’re missing

Bench guys really opening it up nicely and the offense is flowing. Dario and Frank with a nice two man game screening for each other up top that led to a Dario 3. Cam with a 3 from the corner, Tyler Johnson is 4-6 from 3 and looking really good. This is the kind of game Dario, Frank, Tyler Johnson needed to get into a flow. The 0.5 thing is alive and well with this group.

Evidently, Booker, Ayton and Rubio should be out of the rotation.
