I can't believe Embiid gets 2, two fooking games for literally fighting with another player on the court, while Ayton gets over 12x as many games for taking a diuretic. It makes no sense. Embiid could have seriously hurt one of the league's best young players. Ayton took magic peepee juice. Why is the latter 12x worse than the former?
IT IS IN THE CONTRACT.

Sorry for yelling, but the league is just following the rules the players all signed up to follow. If you don't like the idea of a 25 game suspension for a 1st offense getting a positive test for a diuretic, then don't take a f*** diuretic. It isn't complicated. Nobody else got suspended for it and there are literally hundreds of guys in the league.
Yes, it is in the contract. I'm not saying that Ayton's suspension in itself is unfair, nor that he should get a tiny suspension such as 1-2 games. I am saying that it's weird that fighting another player, which is not only unsportsmanlike but also risks injury or worse to both players and others, is seen as being less than 10% as bad as taking a peepee drug.
Fighting isn't cheating.

On the other hand, hugging is very sportsmanlike, encourages healthy hearts, and inspires both greatness and empathy in others. The NBA probably gave them -50 games for fighting, but also gave them +48 for hugging and talking about their feelings.

BTW, Embiid will be suspended for our game on Monday. Sixers still have Horford, but should make things a lot easier on Frank and Baynes.

I know people say the Rockets are a playoff lock but are they really though? Their defense is disgustingly bad. Without Ayton we are a better team than they are and they getting destroyed by Miami right now.

I really dislike this Harden/Westbrook reunion. They're both very good players, but I don't think expending that much of the cap on two ball-dominant high usage rate players is wise. And they both don't play much defense. I think the Rockets are definitely not a title contender. I do think they'll make the playoffs, but I think they will get bounced in the first or second round.

I hate them both so I’m glad they’re together, let’s me enjoy the rest of the league and hate the Rockets even more

Before tonight's game, he was averaging 26.2 ppg, 9.6 rpg, and 8.4 apg. Then he went out and netted a 29/14/15 triple double.

Is it fair to say yet that we drafted the wrong guy last year in Ayton? I'm ready to make it official. What a stupid move. Luka was right there and had already proven he was going to be a superstar. And we badly needed a PG. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Not just Luka. Trae Young is averaging 26.8ppg 7.3apg, and 5rpg with a PER of 29.26 (8th in the league.) Meanwhile, Ayton sits at home playing XBox.

In retrospect, yes we definitely should have drafted Luka, but I don’t think he had proven he would be a superstar. He’s shown that the concerns about him were wrong, but they were fair at the time. He wasn’t in great shape and wasn’t a great athlete. Even with those concerns, he was clearly worthy of the #1 pick, that draft was just stacked and there were a few players worthy of it.

Drafting Ayton is still defensible to me. He’s good, could be great still. Hoping he’s the Hakeem to Luka’s Jordan.

It’s definitely a ball handler driven league. Though I’d still rather have Ayton than Trae on this team.

I just have to accept and deal with the fact that McD was an idiot who messed up with our franchise by missing on Luka... Just imagine Booker and Luka together... O my...

Again, that’s easy to say now, but even on this board, a majority preferred Ayton to Doncic before the draft.

Not me. I vocally wanted Luka and have been bummed out since the moment we picked Ayton. But I still want Ayton to succeed and am rooting for him.

Yes, there were still plenty who wanted Luka, just saying it’s not ridiculous that McD picked Ayton.

Yeah, I don't know if I would say it was a majority. But regardless, we have made our bed, and I am fine with moving forward with Ayton (after his 25 game suspension).
