Ahhhh. I enjoyed this so much better tonight than after last game. The last game was just relief. This one was real joy.

From ESPN
Ricky Rubio’s last 10 games:
PTS: 17.1
AST: 9.6
REBS: 4.4
FG%: 45.6
3PT%: 36.1
FT%: 93.1
I don’t blame Mori for wanting to bang tbh

Yeah I was really happy Oubre did that. Really really happy. He slapped hands with some fans after the game too. I took this as a peace offering to maybe some fans who were jeering him during the game. Good sportsmanship. Pure speculation though.

How about that Ayton defense on Lillard at the end where he forced him into an airball?

This was just the fourth time in franchise history that the Suns won after trailing by 19-plus point at the end of the first quarter.
Oubre had already knocked down a career-high six three-pointers in the game, but why not one more for good measure? With under a minute remaining, Oubre connected on his seventh three to clinch the game for the Suns.
Devin Booker scored a team-high 33 points despite not attempting a single three-pointer in the game. He finished 15-of-15 at the free throw line while adding 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Booker also made Suns history as he passed former MVP Charles Barkley (6,556 points) to move into 12th on the Suns all-time scoring list.

It's a world of difference when we don't have to rely on Frank Kaminsky to play 20+ minutes.

Do you want him to play on his gimpy ankle and have a mediocre night? Or do you want him to keep sitting out? I was happy to have him out there; he brings a lot of elements we don't have without him.
The overreaction I was reading in this thread about Ayton was down right silly. This is only his 3rd damn game and just fresh off an ankle injury. He’s out of tuned with every one and trying figure out how to fit in.
And to be clear, I don’t dislike Booker. I have high expectations for him which I think are fair with his talent and salary.
I’m not a fan of Kelly’s bipolar nature. Had a great box score tonight I see though. Will watch tomorrow to see if he did the same defensively.

I can’t believe the Suns won that game. The Blazers were ridiculous from 3’s to start the game. The Suns just kept inching their way closer, caught up at the end, went ahead and took care of business to close out the game.
I look at Ayton tonight as a feeling it out game. He got through it without getting suspended or hurt, which is a record this year. He played, got his feet wet and we won. Two in a row as a matter of fact. Notice how it’s we won when they win and they lost when they lost? A side benefit of being a fan.

The emotions in this this thread! I went to sleep middle of the 2nd qtr as they were fighting back but figured we'd lose. Taped it tho so I'll watch the 2nd half.
Agree with those saying we need to cut Ayton some slack and be a little patient. You can't expect a guy to be 100% after missing some 30 games. Save it for a month from now when he's playing the same way. But even so, his rebounding and interior scoring opportunties will be huge. We lost a ton of close games with Frank and Dario missing chippies or getting stuffed at the rim. Turn those into Ayton dunks and layups and it'll make a big difference.

The difference for Ayton being out the last couple of weeks is he couldn’t keep his conditioning up. You can’t run on a bum ankle. He was still able to run and workout during the suspension.
Re: Game Day: Suns (12-20) @ Blazers (14-19), Mon 12/30/19
I thought his defense was pretty good, actually. He had 1-2 nice blocks and shot alterations and seemed to be his usual pesky self. But I admit that I don't always have a great eye for defense.Bridges was pretty bad on D. He’s looked bad lately. Not sure what’s going on with him but he looks like he’s on skates out there.
