IMHO, you can throw every PG but Rubio in the spin dryer...except I'd like to see a stretch where they put Jerome on the spot and try to get him to step up...sink or swim.

I see a big failing as we don't have a distributor on the second squad...Dinwiddie would facilitate that...our bench gets us killed...

Jerome is basically unplayable. Can't handle the ball because any opposite defender dwarfs him and makes him quit dribbling; can't play off ball because he gets abused on defense and if you are using him as a spot up shooter, it's a waste of space anyway. Just too weak and slow currently, and the sharks smell blood. Can't display your smarts if you are 100% focused on not being stripped. Needs a ton of physical development and to get minutes in the GLeague. Okobo and Tyler, as limited as they are as well, are miles ahead in NBA games.

As for Dinwiddie, I'd want him if available, but it's tricky. If I were BRY, I wouldn't settle for anything less than a decent 1stR/prospect, plus a playable vet that fits,

Problem is, Dinwiddie doesn't make a lot (11M this season, player option for '21-22) so PHX would have trouble making a realistic offer that BRY would consider.

For instance, taking Tyler's 19M would be difficult for BRY since they'd need to add filler and they don't really have any. Garrett Temple could be a candidate but he is playing 30Mpg (granted, due to injuries) and giving them a very decent 10-3-3. In other words, you'd have to pay even more.

Would you put on the table, say, Mikal or our 2020 1stR with little protection? Dinwiddie the player could be worth it in a vacuum (very good, still young and fills a need; not just at backup PG, but overall adding proven talent), but he is basically an expiring contract so such move would be ill-advised. Also, you still need to address the problem at PF and you'd be running thin on assets to spend.

Who would do this?:

PHX gets: Dinwiddie, Juancho Hernangomez.
BRY gets: Saric, PHX 2020 1stR top 5 protected, Kaminsky.
DEN gets: Diallo, two PHX 2ndRs.

I'm not trading Mikal unless I get Lou Williams or someone equal in talent. A starter that just happens to be coming off the bench. That's essentially what Bridges is.

Suns are 9-10 on the road, which is a big improvement over last year (when they were 7-34).

But they're only 9-15 at home.

In the second half, there were large blocks of empty seats throughout the arena.

So many of those are corporate-owned and those "fans" are going to lose interest pretty fast.

Win four of those, and we can legitimately be talking about playoffs.

The Arizona Cardinals had a very similar season. They lost 5 games by 1 TD or less.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

The Suns have lost interest pretty fast in games. I guess that makes me one of those "fans" too.

To me our biggest weakness is our bench unit...and that typically is largely driven by no one that can create on the second unit. The '5' PGs on this team aren't cutting it...from inputs, I'd put Jerome in G League and try to get him spun up...and again...make a move to snag Dinwiddie. The bench has to improve...we lose WAY to much momentum when we go to them...

Hadn't seen this posted but I love Charles making fun of the Suns and Knicks. They also talk Ayton a bit during the highlights and then go at each other about an old Suns-Magic game
