When you look at the Western teams, even the ones that aren't in the top 8, it's pretty tough to picture us passing them. In particular, the now-healthy Pelicans and the Grizzlies both seem more likely to qualify than we do.

Agreed. But even if the chances are next to nothing, and we end up not making a play-in game, I would prefer they play. The more we see, the more Jones has to build a plan on for next year.

There's a tremendously small chance the Suns even make it to the play-in game(s), but I'm with you guys. This team is loaded with players who need game minutes for development so I'm glad they're getting in some valuable games.

We can still hold out hope that they can start out hot similar to the way they started the season last October, but any incentive to advance this season is pretty much done if they lose two of the eight games. They have Dallas twice, the Clippers and the Pacers in the first 4 games. I'd be surprised if they don't lose 2 of those games.

I read that Jokic has switched to a super-low-carb diet. Wow, such a difference. His bulk probably helped him at times on the court, but I think that'll be good for him long-term to be thinner. Much better on his knees and legs; will probably extend his career if he can keep it up. Good on him.

He was way too heavy at times. I'm sure he'll add some more weight back if/when he gets on a training/lifting routine which should only make him more of a nightmare.

Denver the dark horse out of the west I guess, it being a weirdo short season and him looking like that.

And I agree he should do better being thinner, but I wonder how long it lasts as he looks like he yo-yo's quite a bit .. although that, to me, is a real statement of intent / a sign he might stay like that.

Jesus. You just know he’s showing them the Plandemic video. Too bad! NBA is doing it right.

Looks like he has other things on his mind. He may get the season canceled and possibly no fans in the stands for the full '20-'21 season too. If it truly changes things for the better, than it's clearly worth it.

I like how he can’t play so he’s trying to convince the rest of the league not to play.

A league that has supported the BLM movement, fully supported its players expressing themselves, and takes damn good care of it’s players. What is he looking for? I don’t get it.

I did hear he was upset that the Disney employees would not be subject to the same bubble. That would make the whole bubble pointless. Rather everyone has to stay, or nobody.

Mitchell expressed concerns about playing due to “being behind the 8-ball” having not played five-on-five and being thrust into a competitive environment and eight-game regular season. “We’re taking a big (injury) risk,” Mitchell said.
A month isn't enough time to get ready for the 8-game season?

“I don’t support going into Orlando,” Irving told the players. “I’m not with the systematic racism and the bull----. … Something smells a little fishy. Whether we want to admit it or not, we are targeted as black men every day we wake up.”
Howard stressed to players that playing in Orlando will become a distraction from the issues the country is facing, and that they need to unify and use this moment to create a change.

Yeah, that seems like enough time, unless he completely let himself go, which I doubt.
