I know it's still too early to call it, but seeing how Bridges is playing and continuing to get better, do we still regret passing on a guy like SGA? They're different players for sure and SGA would have more of an impact offensively and potentially give us one of the best backcourts in the league, but Bridges' ability to defend the other teams' best perimeter player has been huge thus far. His 3pt shot is looking great and he's showing more offensive versatility off the dribble.

I know I still regret trading for Knight. If not, we wouldn't have had to trade for Bridges snd could havd traded for SGA too.

Re: Suns News: Season Resumes
I had them basically tied in my draft rankings. I favored SGA because of the positional fit at the time. We needed a pg. Ultimately I’d still pick SGA in a vaccum, but I’m not regretting picking Bridges.ShelC wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 6:16 amI know it's still too early to call it, but seeing how Bridges is playing and continuing to get better, do we still regret passing on a guy like SGA? Yea that's where I'm at. The fact that Bridges has stepped up his game and is showing improvement definitely helps the matter.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 6:41 amI had them basically tied in my draft rankings. Re: Suns News: Season Resumes
Man I'm so hyped for today
I'm here feeling like MJ cuz the amount of reading I've done on social media still seeing alot of shade thrown the Suns way "and at that point it became Personal to Me" smh lol
Seems like a bunch of ppl feel TJ can/gonna hang near 50 on us and they are just waiting to troll all day again about the trade
Myles Turner has posted the How's Cash Considerations playing meme when they beat us in January and after the 53
Lots of Oh the Clippers haven't been focused takes and not that we playing well and the irony is Pacers wins are against the self destructing Sixers , Wiz n Magic but folks are raving about their 3-0 start tsk tsk
When I looked back at the earlier game they waxed us 112-87 but that's almost irrelevant at this point and the guy who really killed us was Sabonis
Anyways I'm at the point like I said where I don't really wanna lose to these guys

Now, you've got to give Booker a lot of credit here, Mike. [ed note. That's not my name but whatever.] We all know the Suns needed 2 points, right? We also knew, they're probably going to Booker here. Now you say "What's the big deal about that?" Well, the Clippers have got their two best players in Leonard and George guarding him. It's going to be tough for him to get off a shot, as we all know. But you have to remember this is Devin Booker we're talking about. He was born to make this shot... And that's what he did.
Now, can you really bring it home and translate it to Morgan Freeman speak, circa Shawshank Redemption?
I must admit that I didn’t think much of Devin Booker when I first laid eyes on him. He had a quiet way about him, a walk and a talk that just wasn't normal around here. He shot the ball like a kid without a care or a worry in the world. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. I guess it came down to a simple choice, really. The Suns were tied and Bridges got the deflection. Then Ayton got the ball to Booker that fine afternoon. Six seconds remaining... Now 5, then 4, and before you knew it, there was a second left on the clock. Time stood still that day as Booker first spun one way and then the other. The ball then flew from his hands and it was as if the whole world had stopped. The ball swished through the net as the game buzzer sounded. Pandemonium erupted from the Suns’ bench. I find I was so excited that I could barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a Suns fan can feel. A Suns fan in the middle of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope the Suns can make the playoffs. I hope to see them win a series. And then another. I hope to one day see them hoist that championship trophy above their heads as I have seen it in my dreams. I hope.

Think things get real if we win this one. Especially if Sacramento beats New Orleans. That puts spurs, Pels, and Kings in our rear view mirror.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:05 amMan I'm so hyped for today

We still have a tough schedule(Miami, OKC, Philly, Dallas) but we’d have a real shot.

Yes agreed I know it's still tough but that's exactly why I feel this way. If we manage somehow to go 7-1 or 6-2 and barely miss out many will still see this as quite a building block and successSplit T wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:23 amThink things get real if we win this one. If one of those losses are to the Pacers though that will be very upsetting and a tough pill to swallow because of all the resulting chatter

LOL Sup on those Walton, Hubie, Freeman/Red recaps.
Re: Suns News: Season Resumes
I love Bridges, but SGA is still significantly better right now and looks to have a sky-high ceiling. Also I can't help but remember that we have at times had 4 SFs and have been trying to figure out the minutes between them, while we always could use a stellar PG either to start or to have a significant bench role. I'd rather have SGA and some combo of Oubre / TJ Warren / Cam / etc. as our SF rotation, if I could play God with the rosters. SGA is the better player and the more valuable asset.I know it's still too early to call it, but seeing how Bridges is playing and continuing to get better, do we still regret passing on a guy like SGA? But the past is the past, and Bridges is awesome and will be part of our core going forward. I'm glad we have him.
