I thought this was excellent. There is so much stacked against the Black population. Our hidden code words for suppression throughout the years and now it's becoming more and more outward during Trump's regime. There's so much violence against Blacks in the name of law enforcement. Even though we're at another tipping point, it seems like equality progress is slow going and tough to achieve.

One side refuses to even acknowledge the entire issue. They don’t see any violence against blacks. They don’t see any protestors. They only see rioters, looting and burning buildings.

Well, a Patriot Prayer member was shot and killed in Portland Saturday night.

I'm afraid this is only going to become more common on both sides and post-election is going to be really, really ugly.

That seems to be the way its going. A good friend of mine that used to live in AZ lives in Michigan. He is a total Progressive. He just showed me a picture of an assault rifle with an extended magazine he just bought because he is afraid he is a target being a Democrat. Democrats buying assault weapons now out of fear. He sent me a post by somebody.

Liberal Patriots,

Buy guns, learn how to shoot them.i know you want to protest against Conservative values and that’s great. But Conservatives are thirsty to kill you. They celebrated what happened in Kenosha, both the cop shooting a black man in the back and a kid murdering two protestors. They are hard for this shit. Trust me, I have spent hours yesterday purging them from my pages. But they want to kill you. That’s a fact. And it’s time to start prepping for it.

Is that where we are headed? If so it might be time to move somewhere else. My wife and I have actually discussed moving to another country since this one seems to be disintegrating.

I just played my second gig since March 9 yesterday. It was a trio at a Swap Meet in East Mesa. It was low money and long hours. I was ok with it because I just wanted to do a gig again. I have never played with the leader before. He was a charming nice guy but, he was a total Trump fan. The place required masks. He didn’t put one on the entire day. He was there to promote his theatre where he has different bands on different nights. He made it known that they won’t be wearing any masks at his theatre and was very proud of it. Someone asked in the crowd if they sold masks anywhere at the swap meet and he let them know they sell masks at the Trump store a few booths down. I took some video of the Trump store. It was filled with banners, flags, hats, shirts and other various things Trump for sale.

The guy reminded me of Trump somewhat. He came across as charming, religious and very patriotic. He stopped several times during the day to sing patriotic songs like God Bless America a cappella. The mostly older crowd loved it. He and Trump represent the good guys. They love their country, their leader, their flag, their god and want to protect it from the evil Democrats who are Socialists who hate their country, religion, law and order and are violently burning down their own cities.

Hard to compete with that.

The violence in the streets is depressing and frightening. I saw an article on the.ink called "The Cold Civil War" and I keep thinking about that phrase. I think it's pretty accurate. We have two Americas, and increasingly they both hate each other. It doesn't feel like there is any common ground or reconciling between these two groups. It feels like a mortal lock that after Nov 3, people will take to the streets who are upset that their guy lost. There will be blood and killing. What has become of our country?

I just watched the Portland mayor make a strong statement to Trump to stop fanning the flames. I’m very impressed with him and his police chief.

There's an arguably racist country song going around right now by Jason Aldean called "Try That in a Small Town." This thread does a nice job explaining why it is offensive and also why the singer is being ingenuine.

I have had several conversations about this song. People listen to it and form different opinions on what it is saying. Some say it’s a racist song. I think the song is trying to appeal to a certain audience that make up his fans. For the most part his fans are country fans and most country fans are generally rural. It also just happens to be that Political lines seem to be based on whether you live outside the cities in a small town or live in a city. Dems = Cities. Cons = Rural.

He showed images of people behaving badly in riots, robberies, car jacking etc. and implied that it only happens in cities and not small towns. There are people of all makes and colors in the videos which makes sense since cities are filled with diversity, unlike small towns where most look the same, go to the same church, listen to the same music, vote for the same people and generally think alike.

First off, as a lifelong musician one thing sticks out on the video. When my step father the country fan heard some fairly recent popular country his comment was “That’s not country!” Any older country band would be disgusted by the new look country. They don’t play Fender and Gibson guitars like all the country musicians since country music was born. They aren’t playing twangy. The guitar player was playing a PRS, which is definitely not country Koser. He was playing totally distorted. If you take away the lead singer Jason with the cowboy hat trying to look and sound all good ole boyish, what you have is a heavy rock band behind him. That is the new country. The point being that small town Jason has broken from the traditional country music he grew up with like many other bands. Something about that doesn’t sound small town to me.

I didn’t see any clips showing those small town people attacking the police at the Capital. I guess it didn’t happen in a small town.

I don’t see any overtly racist themes in the video. I think stripping it all down he is basically saying small town people are good and people in cities are bad, which translates in rural talk as Republicans are good and Democrats are bad. I think Republicans in general associate the Democratic Party with minorities and there is evidence that suggests many Republicans are not fans of minorities. A perfect song to help divide the nation even further. This controversy is becoming very profitable for Jason. On a business level I say well done. On a United We Stand level I say not cool.

I’d say let the Supreme Court draw them but pretty sure it’d come back looking the same.

Don't know where to put this. Huge 23andMe hack, somebody stole a bunch of their data and released specifically data on who out there are ethnically Ashkenazi Jews, presumably so that antisemites can cause some sort of harm to them. Blech.

This sounds racist, tbh. This sounds like Kelly Osbourne when she asked, "Who will clean our toilets?"

Illegal immigrants crossing the border specifically to work in the fields has always been a thing since I can remember. Farmers say nobody else will do the work. I guess he’s a racist for saying it.

It's racist to imply that's all their good for.
