Giuliani was leaking some shit from head head today. They were making some crazy claims that the (late) Hugo Chavez and communists are behind the vote fraud that they said is occurring and that Trump will win. Bunch of nut jobs. And half the country eats this shit up as fact.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I'm getting more and more worried about the Trump coup attempt. I don't think he can reverse the election result, but the fact that Michigan is seriously considering not certifying its election results based on no evidence is deeply concerning. How do we come back from this?

You prosecute everyone for everything. Not doing so means it is OK to violate the law.

We have never had a President who was willing to start a Civil War just to stay in office before. Trump will go down in the History books as the guy who single handedly destroyed Democracy if there still is an America left after Trump. Republican law makers willing to go along with his BS are just as complicit.

The government needs a reset. Rs and Ds are both playing the same game in terms of power and wealth so no one's willing to call anyone out or start any investigations. I'd love to see a true independent, free from dark money, lobbies, foreign govts make a run with actual pols from the left and right willing to work together and reimagine Washington. These 70-80 yr olds holding onto power and playing one against the other all need to be put out to pasture.

You first need to make dark money illegal in politics, starting with CU. Without that, I just don't see how another/new party could compete. I mean, it would be like if the NBA had no cap or revenue sharing or collective bargaining agreement. There would end up being just a handful of teams, and no chance for anyone else.

Trump on numerous occasions in rallies and including the debate said if Biden is elected the stock market would crash.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump ... rediction/

Biden was elected and the stock market just hit an all time record high.

Trump did a press conference today for just over a minute. He wanted to make sure we gave him the credit for the stock market being up.

Trump and other Republicans such as Ted Cruz also made another prediction months ago.

"If it ends up that Biden wins in November...I guarantee you, the week after the election suddenly all those Democratic governors, all those Democratic mayors, will say, 'Everything is magically better. Go back to work, go back to school.' Suddenly, the problems are solved," Cruz said in the July 22 clip.

You couldn’t have been any wronger Cruz.

I could be wrong but doesn’t the stock market rise with every election historically?

For the most part, all the market does is rise (with few exceptions). The more our laws and politicians bend over backwards to encourage companies over people, it won't change.

This. Trump had nothing to do the the market rising although he tells everybody he did. It rose Obama's entire 8 years. It's risen since the beginning of the stock market. Sure, there are ups a downs along the way, but it has always gone up over time. My bet would be that the Dow will be at $60,000 in 10 years from now.

It will almost always be hitting record highs, just like we will have more and more record turnouts in elections because populations tend to grow year after year.

Yup. Dow returns average about 10% a year over the long run. Bear markets lasting several years can and do happen, but they’re always balanced out by bull markets in the end.

I'm ready to move on from the Trump era. Many things to be done and a competent team being assembled to do them. Hoping that Romney and Murkowski decide to play ball with the centrists in the White House and get things done.

Even if Romney and Murkowski are willing to cooperate, McConnell can block pretty much anything simply by refusing to schedule a vote.

That is why the run offs in GA are so critical.

If the Dems don't take both of the Georgia Senate seats, the next two years will be mostly gridlock and bickering. Biden can undo some Trump things via executive order, but his power will be limited. The Dems really need those two seats.

I personally don't think the Dems will pull it off. Democratic voters are not known for turning out for off-elections and the Republican party is still strong in Georgia. I hope all the efforts that are being put into GotV and registration by Stacey Abrams and others will pay off, but I'm not holding my breath for two Democratic Senate wins in January. My best guess would be that the Dems win one seat and Ossoff loses (for a third time).

Video shows Arizona governor ignoring 'Hail to the Chief' call while certifying Biden victory
https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing ... uring-vote

Trump calls AZ Governor Ducey as he is signing the certification of AZ’s election results and Ducey pulls his phone out of his pocket and silences the ringer.

Priceless!
