Josh Richardson had a legit complaint on that foul on Paul.

Key plays by Paul in the final minutes.
Maybe, but we had legit complaints on the last two Luka fouls as well. Especially the one where Booker fouled Luka with his face.

Really glad Monty had Johnson in there to close. He was much better than Crowder tonight.

Cam Payne with a +14. If this is the Payne we get all year, we are in good shape.

Tooooooooo many turnovers. Unforced errors nearly doomed the Suns.

Payne, Cam Johnson and Galloway were money off the bench.

Player of the game for the Suns: Bridges.

Great to get that early win despite some really bad quarters from most of our starters. This is a game for some of the role players to build on. Payne, Galloway, Johnson, Smith, and of course Bridges carried the team when the bigger names struggled.

Bridges was awesome. Luka got 32, but took him 26 shots and 12 FTA. Added 18/7 and 2 blocks to his great D on Luka.

Unless this is also the Paul we get all year.

Credit him with clutch play, but still.

And only 5 assists. Luka couldn't get the rest of the Mavs going because we didn't need to double team him.

Ayton played well tonight. Got the quick fouls, but they were from being aggressive on offense. He got good position in the post a few times and scored. His defense was solid. He did just watch Luka dunk the ball there at the end when Bridges and Booker both switched off Luka...other than that, no real defensive mistakes that stand out.

So much rust but nice to pull that one out.

Specials thanks to bridges , Payne and cam Johnson.
Galloway was a nice little flame thrower when needed.
Stix liked better than jones. Good to get his first game nerves out the way.

This was with ayton missing most of the game and Paul being fairly quiet till the end. So even though it was an ugly game , it feels great to win ugly.
It’s seems like we have some new wrinkles to our offense even though tonight it wasn’t exactly clicking. One thing was we seemed keen to give it to the 5 download quickly at times if there was a good match up. A whole game of ayton doing that is going to nice. Ayton seemed to keep rolling hard also.

Glad we hung on. Payne, Bridges, and Cam kept us in it in the second half. Nice to see guys step up

Haven't been impressed with CP so far.
