The Great Reset

Post by In2ition »

I'm curious as 95% of the posters on this forum are liberal to very liberal.

Have you all heard about it?
What are your feelings about this, as it seems to be happening very soon, as there is no indication that Biden won't be President, other than him calling Harris the President Elect often?
Are you giddy about this coming to fruition?
What do you expect from it?
Or have you not heard about it?

A conspiracy theory has spread in response, claiming it will be used to bring in a supposed New World Order.
Naturally, it’s a concern for In2.

never heard of it. but I looked it up. I guess there is a conspiracy theory floating around Q-folks that says it is a part of a secret global initiative to take over the world.

I haven’t heard of it either. It’s a Lib plan that only right wingers know about.

Well, the actual term is from the IMF, and I am not sure any 'extreme liberal' supports them. I mean, does anyone remember Occupy Wall Street?

Ok, I'm seriously surprised that none of you have heard about it. It's absolutely not a conspiracy theory. When the people that want to do it are open about it, it's not a f'n conspiracy theory in any way. I suggest you all learn about it. I wanted to find the nice little video that the World Economic Forum presented to get you all excited about the 2030 agenda. Justin Trudeau talked about it, and they are setting up camps in Canada right now. Prince Charles talked about it and many leaders around the world have been talking about it. Even Joe Biden has talked about it.

BTW, it's a bit insulting that you insinuate that "Naturally, it’s a concern for In2." Come on, Cap. Be better.

This socialist caller into the Sean Hannity show knows what's up. He's even called "checkmate" on everyone as there is nothing that can be done about it now. He was very respectful while being very honest.

In2--the "Great Reset" is a policy by the WEF that is being sold as a 'new capitalism' and so far only extremely wealthy people are supporting. But it is also accurate to say that some people think it is a cover for developing a New World Order.

And apologies I have been saying IMF earlier when I meant WEF.

I know what it is. I was surprised that many here didn't know what it was. Yes, the WEF. I was wondering what the IMF was that you were referring to, haha.

You know what the real Great Reset is, or the theory that it is a front for taking over the world?

I'm pretty sure that's the ultimate plan. Don't take it from me, listen to these people yourself. It's not my conspiracy theory, because it's not a conspiracy when it's out in the open. Ever wonder why all the politicians had the motto "Build Back Better" for their elections?
Building Back Better, a United Nations Program
Build Back Better, a slogan of the Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign
Build Back Better, US president Bill Clinton's humanitarian program in Haiti
Build Back Better, a motto of Zamboanga City, Philippines
Build Back Better, a slogan in the 2020 Singaporean general election

Am I understanding this correctly, that this is a thread devoted to promoting a conspiracy theory? Is that what we are doing now?

I want this area to be a place for open discussion. But I do not want my site being used to promote and disseminate conspiracy theories. I think it is fine to have an intellectual discussion about the prominence and rise of various info and disinfo and its effect on people. ("Did you know? Some folks from Q-Anon are talking about a 'PizzaGate' conspiracy theory that claims ___. Huh, that's interesting!" etc.) But this thread seems to be actively promoting the conspiracy theory on its merits and arguing that it may likely be true.

Is that the case? Am I misunderstanding what is being claimed in this thread? If my understanding is correct, I find such content unwelcome and ask that it be posted somewhere else.

I'm fine with this being in the longstanding thread that already has a bunch of crazy Twitter claims and conspiracies. I do agree that this doesn't need it's own thread. Else, Politics is just going to slowly erode to countless conspiracy threads.

Marty, with all due respect, it's not a conspiracy theory. Your understanding is incorrect. I was just curious what you all thought about it, and assumed you even knew about it. This is being openly talked about by the WEF and the leaders that go there. For goodness sake, when it's out in the open, it's not an F'n conspiracy.

I hadn't read anything about this before making my post above. It looks like the "Great Reset" itself is not a conspiracy theory (courtesy Wikipedia):
The Great Reset is a proposal by the World Economic Forum (WEF) to rebuild the economy sustainably following the COVID-19 pandemic. It was unveiled in May 2020 by the United Kingdom's Prince Charles and WEF director Klaus Schwab.[1][2] It seeks to improve capitalism by making investments more geared toward mutual progress and focusing more on environmental initiatives. A petition in Canada to stop it gained 80,000 signatures in less than 72 hours. A conspiracy theory has spread in response, claiming it will be used to bring in a supposed New World Order.
I saw the phrase "conspiracy theory" in a few posts above and worried that the whole thing was some kind of pizzagate nonsense. I apologize, In2; it is perfectly fine to bring this up as a topic to discuss.

I haven't read much about this Reset idea, but I don't think it means much other than as a vague idea. If you want a radical restructuring of the US or world economy, Joe Biden is not the guy for it. He is a moderate Democrat who seems to want incremental progress on Obama-era policies. I do think he cares about climate change and sustainability and other issues, but not to the degree of promoting radical policy changes. So I doubt anyone will undergo a "Reset" of this magnitude under his Presidency.

Well, he has talked about it, and is willing to start making changes to that end, so I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss him out of hand.
