There are some serious issues with the groupings. How is Gasol more expensive than Jokic?
Not sure about Jokic at $2: but Gasol had a great career. I can see your point
I was referring to Marc, not Pau.
Oh, that’s right, Marc makes no sense above Jokic and a healthy Yao Ming. My bad.

No Embiid?
No Dtlef Schrempf, no Sabonis
Sabonis is a serious oversight. Especially if you're talking about his peak even if it it wasn't while in the NBA.

Ok I will just throw this one out there
These things are obviously the player at his best and ignoring injury history

Keeping it relevant to this era/style of play

C - Dream $5
F - Porzingis $2
F - Peja $3
G - Simmons $3
G - Dragon $2

Dream pick n pop/roll , gotta double in the post
Was concerned bout D but hey it's an international team lol, still Ben on perimeter and Dream anchoring works
Simmons surrounded with shooting and that's my stab at it lol, leaving off quite a couple guys I like but trying to be logical 😀

Unless I am missing something, he is the only guy on there to be the best player on a championship team.

There's a pretty serious lack of defense for most of those guys other than Hakeem and Dikembe. I think I'd go with:

C - Jokic - $2
PF - Giannis - $5
SF - Deng - $2
SG - Peja - $3
PG - Dragic - $2
Total $14

It's a weird team, and Peja can't really defend SGs, but Deng and Giannis can rotate and help and swarm all over the court. I really wanted Hakeem or Nash, but they're too expensive. I decided to make my $5 guy be Giannis for what he can do on both ends. Jokic's passing also unlocks open shots for everybody else, so I think Peja will hit like 7 3s a game. Between Jokic and Dragic everybody is going to be getting the ball on offense.

I like the Jokic-Giannis combo, Mori. Well done.

I'll take both Gasol brothers - at their respective peaks, they were both excellent two-way players that could pass, shoot, and defend inside and out.

If I'm thinking modern game, I want shooting with them, so Dragic (as the best shooter of the inexpensive point guards) and Peja (as a great tallish 3-point shooting SF). I'm trusting the two big guys to help cover some of their defensive issues. That leaves me $3 for another wing or guard, but I can't tell who all of those lower-priced guys are...

Dragic - Doncic - Deng - Porzingis - Olajuwon and you can keep the $1 change.
