Game Day: Clippers (4-2) @ Suns (5-1), Sun 1/3/21

Post by Superbone »

Time: 6:00 pm AZ (5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET)
Place: Phoenix Suns Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP, FSPT

The Clippers are sitting a notch below the league best Suns as they come to Phoenix for an early season showdown. Nader and Smith are still on the injury list but Saric is not.

Go Suns!!!

I’m predicting Ayton gets 11 & 7, Suns win a close one

Three games against the Clippers last year: 18&12, 25&17, 19&7.

Of course, they didn’t have Ibaka then. Two games against the Raptors: 17&10, 13&14.

Suns stay weird with injury updates. Wasn’t Smith’s injury a minor tweak that they were just being cautious with?

Happy birthday Bone.
18 & 11 for DA.
KL and PG will look for a bubble revenge so watch out.
I guess it will go down to the wire.

Thanks. It would be but I'm not counting on it. It would be some start though, wouldn't it?

I get the feeling they're maybe holding him out or holding him back. Bring him along slowly since there was no real training camp or summer league, go with the vets we have for now to win games and let him adjust and progress at his own speed. Seems like something Monty would be aware of in terms of development.

I agree with Shel. Smith wasn't bad, but there wasn't much that signaled he definitely needed to see playing time.

I know we're like a collective of sports abuse victims at this point, but face it, we're really fucking good. If the rookie needs more time to get right and find a footing in the rotation then so be it. He's not a critical part of the rotation right now and that's a great luxury for a team who just picked 10th overall.
