Nice to see some leadership right? Not a blue state vs red state issue? A human issue. An American issue. I almost wish Biden would attack the failed Republican leadership in Texas. I wish he'd ask where all the energy from gas and oil are and how WE ALL NEED A GREEN NEW DEAL NOW! I wish he'd wonder aloud if receiving federal funding equates to socialism and welfare or why should blue states pay for the mistakes of red states. Or maybe Texas should look into declaring bankruptcy if they can't foot the bill for their recovery. But leaders lead. They address challenges, work to solve problems. They don't divide, incite or inflame.

Really well said, Shel. I hope others with a big platform ask those same questions, and let the president be presidential.

In the short time Joe Biden has been in office.
1. He has essentially supported CCP/PRC genocide of the Uighurs by calling them "different cultural norms" https://nypost.com/2021/02/17/biden-say ... ent-norms/
2. Destroyed US blue collar jobs
3. Made racist statements demeaning blacks and the latin community during the Town Hall.

These are also not Dem or Rep issues. These are human issues, and I wouldn't chalk them up for W's as Biden being "presidential".

Nice double standards, here.

1) He didn't support what they are doing or say it is just different cultural norms. He said every country's leader around the country have to abide by their cultural norms. He didn't say he supported what they are doing... whereas Trump said it was a good strategy to build internment camps for the Uighurs...

2) Evidence??? The person that killed US jobs is the guy that said "pretty soon the 15 will be zero" over a year ago.

3) "demeaning blacks" is demeaning way to describe black people. Describing someone as black is fine, but calling a group of black people 'blacks' is not. I haven't watched the townhall or read the transcript yet. Can you let me know what he said that was racist so I can call him out on it too?

I'm speaking directly on what he said, not trying to do a double standard. If the previous administration said that what China was doing was not wrong, let me know.

2 Did you forget about the Keystone pipeline? That did not kill thousands of US blue collar jobs?

President Biden continued in his response that he is “not going to speak out against” the Chinese Communist Party’s belligerent actions in Hong Kong, against the Uighurs, or in Taiwan.

“I point out to him no American president can be sustained as a president, if he doesn’t reflect the values of the United States,” the US president continued. “And so the idea that I am not going to speak out against what he’s doing in Hong Kong, what he’s doing with the Uighurs in western mountains of China and Taiwan — trying to end the one China policy by making it forceful … [Xi] gets it.”

“Culturally there are different norms that each country and their leaders are expected to follow,” he continued.

The “norms” in China, as shown in a recent BBC News exposé, include systemic torture and rape occurring in Uighur concentration camps.

This wasn't 1st hand or 2nd hand account, it was like 4th hand account and hearsay. Didn't Trump sign a Uygher Human Rights Bill?
And Pompeo did this.

We started off talking about Texans/American citizens without heat or electricity and it got spun into a "What about the treatment of the Uighurs???" argument.

Trump supporters don't get to pretend to be mad that Biden made a gaffe about blacks. It's done in hypocritical bad faith, not to be taken seriously.

What? I don't understand what you mean. You'll have to give me some type of examples.

That was fucking nuts. And she quickly pivoted to stop him from talking so when she rules for him it would be somewhat less despicable.
