That video is pretty spotty. Constantly buffering for me. Cap's audio link is for Arizonans only.

my feed work til only 5-4 Kings and I was coming here to share
I give up now, not sure how we will see decent highlights either which is a bit of a bummer

Shamet on a dribble drive blow by, Mikal initiating PnR and hitting a step back when the big switch out was as good a two possessions as I could have expected to see though 8-) :)

I'm suppose to be studying so hey, off here I go

Why didn’t we draft Haliburton?

I'm trying to watch this game but I keep being distracted by trying to figure out if it's being filmed with a Yukon Gold or a Russet.

Monty threw a bunch of lineups out in the first half. Everyone played. The Kings played HARD. Davion Mitchell was really disruptive on the defensive end.

DA looked in midseason form. Good to see him picking up where he left off. Took a 3 from the top of the key but was pretty off with it.

Javale looked really good. He should be a big help. His size is so noticeable on both ends and he makes plays few guys can make. Had a few really nice passes to cutters from the midpost too.

Shamet looks really good. Played aggressively and attacked the basket with some nice burst and toughness. Adjusted his shot and changed direction when he had to. If he can add that scoring dimension to our offense, it'd take a lot of pressure off CP and Book.

I think Cam Johnson may emerge as the wing scorer this season ahead of Mikal. He played the 3 in the lineup next to Stix and Javale, which I doubt we'll see much of this season but he looks comfortable bringing the ball up in transition and playing off the high screen. I could see him doing well in that point-forward role.

Cam Payne was pretty non-descript IMO. His shot wasn't falling, he wasn't really driving the ball and was bothered by the defense.

Payton looked good getting to the basket twice and and hitting DA on the lob in the 1st half. He's a luxury as a 3rd stringer but I still wouldn't want to rely on him for any extended amount of time.

Nader was Nader. I like his energy and edge. Hard to see where he would find minutes but he's a player. Reminds me of Matt Barnes.

Stix didn't look completely lost out there which is kind of encouraging. Great block on Holmes and, ahem, nice fadeaway J late in the game.

Funny that the Kings have Richaun, Len and Damian Jones.

I'm making a claim on this take now, and I'm probably going to beat it to a pulp for the next 8 months.

Landry Shamet is going to out play Cam Payne in the lead guard off the bench role. This will lead to discussions about whether or not the Suns should try to move Payne and re-sign Shamet (presuming he wouldn't be paid significantly more than Payne's current new deal) next summer.

That would be great. Cam Payne has been great. If he outplays Cam Payne that would be even greater and mean we are that much deeper.

Didn't get to watch the game because I couldn't find a stream in time. But it does look like Shamet and McGee are keepers. The other players and coaching staff seem to really like both of them. Nice to see Stix put up some good numbers, too. And glad they didn't play CP3 or Book; those guys need maximum rest.

I do have a feeling we might see a little jump from Cam Johnson. Hoping for the Bridges leap as well. Monty seems pretty excited about what Shamet might be able to do too.

I’ll be interested to see how the rotation shakes out as the season draws closer. Right now, it seems Paul, Booker, Bridges, Crowder, Ayton with Payne, Shamet, Johnson, and McGee off the bench is pretty set. Do we even play a 10th guy? Who’d be the leading contender to get minutes? Jalen? Nader? Frank?

So funny to listen to the contrast between Smith and Ayton regarding playing the 4 or 5.

My guess is we'll see 10- and even 11-man rotations early in the season to save wear and tear on Paul and Booker, and also to find out what combos work best. That bodes well for Stix, Nader and Payton.

That’s true, I imagine Payton will play a bit to rest Paul. It appears it’ll be tough to keep Paul off the court completely, but I’d love to hold him under 30 minutes for the season and under 25 on back to backs. We’ve got some depth, the regular season is the time to use it.
