I have to admit I had my Suns fan stinkin’ thinkin’ going on in the 4th just “knowing” that we were going to lose the game. Great way to close it out!LazarusLong wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:29 pmGreat comeback from being down by 12 early in the 4Q.
Kaminsky was key with 16.
Booker had perhaps the best game of the early season with 38.
Paul with 16 and 13 assists.
Crowder awoke in the second half, 15 pts and 8 boards.
Shamet was solid off the bench with 12.

The thinking was that Payton is deliberate, while Payne likes to run.
Good logic, but Cam had some cobwebs on his game tonight ...

Makes sense. The other Cam needs to get the cobwebs off his shot too. He was in a real funk tonight.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:55 pmThe thinking was that Payton is deliberate, while Payne likes to run.

True. He had a couple of steals and made some hustle plays, so he's contributing ... somewhat.

I'm cool if I never see Nader play again.

Frank really looks like a different guy this season. He's confidently making decisions and playing within his role and abilities.

I just rewatched the end of the 3rd and the 4th quarter on the Hawks broadcast this time. Easily Nader’s worst game as a Sun. You guys like to pick on a guy when he’s down.

And yeah, Shamet had a couple of big threes in the 4th. That was good to see.

I'm telling y'all, Payton is just a better basketball player (and point guard especially).

I missed the game, Can anyone confirm this?

I meant to mention that. Yes he did. It was a tough, well guarded 3.

This was a great win to make such a comeback in the 4th. Thing is I was certain Monty lost the game in the 3rd
Trae has it going and draws the foul on Cam Payne, everyone can't believe the call and he goes to the line and puts Hawks up 90-84 with just under 2mins left. Monty then subs out Book who been going toe to toe with Trae which was puzzling because it is normal for him to play the whole 3rd when he's hot.
Immediately I was like Hawks on a run and I don't like this lineup - Cam P, Cam J, Shamet, Nader and Frank but it was only 1:40 left or whatever. Well Hawks outscored them 8-2 and that was the 98-86 lead to end the quarter. Felt like a pivotal point of the game and one of those nights that we might come back but run out of gas at the end.
So as I said, impressive win to pull that off
Big ups to Frank for real

I think Chris Paul double-dribbled on the long rebound that lead to a Crowder lay-up with about 30 seconds left. The Suns broadcast showed the replay several times and never said anything about it so maybe I'm seeing something wrong.
Edit: This is the play. Shel has it in the Tweet recaps. I think it's either a travel or a double dribble violation.

Stream went out and I fell asleep so didn't catch the end unfortunately but a great win against a dangerous team. Hawks are probably my 2nd favorite team right now and I was concerned about seeing them in the Finals moreso than the Bucks.
I thought we were playing well most of the night, then the Hawks started pulling away in the 3rd. Good to see we held it together to take the lead back in the 4th. Like a lot of games last year, we kept within striking distance and didn't let go of the rope.
We're not a better team without DA, just a different kind of attacking team with JaVale and Frank. I wouldn't want to rely on those guys night in and night out but it's great seeing them play well and give us different looks that can throw other teams off a bit. Really wish we would've used Frank more in the Finals after Dario got hurt.

I think that first dribble is still him gaining possession of the ball so it doesn’t count. He did something similar in the Rockets game I believe. Also it’s CP3, so I wouldn’t be surprised if refs just let it go because he’s one of the greatest ball handlers of all time and they just assume he doesn’t double dribble.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 2:17 amI think Chris Paul double-dribbled on the long rebound that lead to a Crowder lay-up with about 30 seconds left.
