Warriors (26-6) @ Suns (26-5), Xmas Day 2021

Post by bajanguy008 »

Time: 3:00 pm AZ (2:00 pm PT/5:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ / ABC

Round 3 of the matchup of the two best teams in the League so far this season. Expect it to be another compelling matchup, we were undermanned when we went to the Bay but kept battling and with the roles reversed today I expect the Warriors to battle with whoever steps on the court. Otto Porter scored too many for my liking last time, so did GPII but I'm sure that minus Wiggins n Poole that there is no way that results in us coming out not focused cause everyone knows what "that very good shooting dude" is capable of. Should be fun 8-)

Go Suns !!!

🎄. Dis cuss. 🎄

I didn't like CP3 guarding Payton last game and it's hurting us again because he plays bigger than his size and lots of energy cutting and on the glass
CP3 don't like to be working so hard early tbh

I don't mind games when we are missing but getting out hustled always drives me crazy
Again nobody is matching GPII energy, he is everywhere smh and obviously Draymond is doing his thing too

Need the bench to be solid but Cam P has started with two turnovers sigh

They need to sit him let Book and Cam and Bridges soak up minutes.

It's disappointing but I will choose not to be too critical and hopefully he gets his act together. We played kinda not good and it was only a 6pt deficit

What a frustrating game so far. GS seem to be killing us on the boards and our turnovers have been tough.

Well Monty basically played CP3 the first ten minutes of the quarter subbing him out at 2:32 and Cam comes in now looking super tentative
Monty brings back CP3 couple possessions later for the last minute

Unfortunate development, we need Cam P

I can't stand watching nationally televised games. Its all Warriors blah blah blah. Steph Curry blah blah blah. Draymond Green blah blah blah. Enough already. The Suns have the best record in the league, give them some credit.

And keep Green away from the refs. His opinion isn't the only one that matters.

Halftime. Wish our bench were giving us more. Cam Johnson having a rare off night. Most of the starters playing well though. Gary Payton II is a pleasant surprise for the Warriors this year. Nasty defender and athlete. Kuminga playing well today, too. I'm pretty happy with the defense on Steph, though; could be a lot worse.

Shaky 1st qtr getting beat on cuts and the Warriors just outhustling us. Nice response in the 2nd tho to take the lead. Again, we just kept grinding until the offense and defense clicked. The Warriors don't have the shooters to keep making shots so it's about keeping them from driving and cutting. CP's been aggressive, which we need, since they're pressing up and being aggressive on him. He needs to attack that. DA solid inside on both ends. Mikal came up with some nice jumpers in the 2nd. Payne's all out of whack, maybe needs to look more for the midrange game instead of 3 or drive. This might just be one of those games for him where he's really bad. Shamet and CamJ haven't done much either tho.

And the 3rd been trending the same as the 1st
Sorry to sound like a broken record, I'm always willing to tip my hat to great execution from another team but it's not that

Just never cool when it "seems" like the other team wants it more. Plus being sloppy with the ball doesn't help either

Really bumming me out with this at the moment
