Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ

Ok Guess it's me again

Suns welcome to the Grizzlies to town. We are coming of a disappointing loss in our marquee Xmas matchup and to compound things now have our first bout with Covid. We've navigated without DA before but I know it's been a while that Monty hasn't been on the sidelines. The Grizz did very well without Ja and are still playing good stuff after a couple losses when he first returned. As always, should be an interesting one.

Go Suns !!!

All I know of dude was seeing his comments about wrinkles in our offense as that's his main focus as assistant

Not sure how he will address the 2nd unit because he obviously has to stagger Book n CP3 minutes. Shamet or Cam J gonna be 6th man, with Smith/Terry/Payton so clearly two of those three or Yikes all three on the court together we definitely need one of our star guards with those units.

I remember Terry being high energy in the paint so he might play 5 with Jalen at 4. I think Jalen does better when he is in the PnR instead of spotting up weakside but not like we are gonna have much of a choice tonight.

I have a bad feeling about this one. The Grizzlies have a major advantage in the front court with both Ayton and Crowder out.

Don't think I was aware the Grizz were 20-14. Knew they were playing well without Ja but wow.

Is this the fist time in his career Jalen Smith has played in the first quarter?

Very interesting substitution patterns. And a very small team on the court right now.

Kevin Young with some funny subs so far.

Going super-small now: Payne-Payton-Shamet-Booker-Stix. Eeek.

Payne's decision making has been really rough lately.

He needs to not use that dump off pass as a bail out and keep his options open when he drives. I would love to see him take it to the rim and then drive across it a couple of times.

Not a terrible first quarter, all things considered. Pretty clear to me this game will need to be won with defense and hustle.

Jalen Smith looks fine out there. He just needs to hold onto the ball better.

Stix is active but he’s a bit overwhelmed as he’s often surrounded by 4 blue shirts when he catches the ball. His picks can be sharper but other than that can’t complain too much with what he did.

With all that is going wrong, now add the refs to it.
Nice non-call on the obvious goal tend.
