Should be a good one. Back to back though.

B2B and short handed…I’m expecting a loss but I’m hoping for a good game and maybe I’ll be surprised.

Kool for Book to be back but I think this is another instance of "letting" Book decide if he's good.
I'm fairly certain every player across the league has missed the first game after clearing protocols for Conditioning.....
He hasn't played 5v5 in a week and as have been said many times, cardio workouts and trying to simulate a game aren't the same thing
Will see how he fares especially against Miami of all defenses

I can't remember which game it was earlier this year, but there was a bad pass or something from the top of the key, I think we were up by like 15 or so, and Booker sprinted back defensively even though he wasn't involved in the play, he would have been totally justified just letting it go, and I honestly can't remember if it even made a difference on whether the other team scored or not. But I just saw that and felt like it was such a "leadership by example" moment.

I didn't expect him to play otherwise I might've gone to the game. I figured even if he was cleared, there would be a "ramp up/conditioning" period. Glad he's back tho for the Heat.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 12:59 pmKool for Book to be back but I think this is another instance of "letting" Book decide if he's good.

Why did I think you lived outside NYC?ShelC wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 2:16 pmI didn't expect him to play otherwise I might've gone to the game. I live in downtown Brooklyn but was spending time about 30 minutes north of Miami for the past 2 weeks. I booked my flight last week to come back today not realizing they were playing the Heat. Thought about switching the flight over the weekend but with CP and Book still out, then Cam getting hurt on Sunday, I was kinda meh on it. Would've been hit with cancellation fees if I tried changing flights last night when they said he'd be playing. If we had the full squad I definitely would've been there.

Wish this game wasn't a SEGABABA. I want to see how we would fare against Miami at closer to full strength. They'll be extremely tough, even with Booker back. I may eat these words, but having him back may or may not really help us, given that his high usage rate and being rusty might actually make it more beneficial to have the ball in the hands of Payne or others. But of course I'm delighted to have him back. Go Suns!

Every time I think we're going to get blown out because of a B2B or being shorthanded, we show up and make it a game. It's a credit to everyone that we compete each and every night even when there are excuses to lose by 20. Hope we don't get burned on this one.

Ah, got it. For some reason I thought you lived in the outskirts of Brooklyn instead of right in the middle of it. I have never even been to Brooklyn--seems I spend all my time in NYC around Manhattan.ShelC wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 3:09 pmI live in downtown Brooklyn but was spending time about 30 minutes north of Miami for the past 2 weeks. I think The Fellas remember the last time they played the Heat, so I'm not surprised Booker has flown out to join the team.

DA was murdered on the boards that game, and we had Herro and Duncan shoot like 70% on 40 shots. I might be a little off, but that is how I remember it.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 4:51 pmI think The Fellas remember the last time they played the Heat, so I'm not surprised Booker has flown out to join the team.

If you've been to Manhattan even once and haven't visited Shel, SHAME on you!Indy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 4:03 pmAh, got it. Turnovers, 3pt defense, and rebounding are the keys to winning tonight.
