Game Day: Suns (2-0) vs Mavs, WCSF Game 3, Wed 05/06/22

Post by Charlie Smithy! »

Time: 6:30PM AZ/PT (9:30PM ET)
Place: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
TV: ESPN

Brothers and sisters, I have sinned. And I do admit, there have been many times in my life in which my faith has wavered. I spent most of my 20s just kind of living to exist and not really knowing who I was. I was a human doing but not a human being. I never took the time to ask myself why it was I did the things in my life, and vice-versa as well.

And I can only but give myself a hefty INFORMER-styled eyeroll for what largely felt like a lost decade. My story, though, does have a happy ending; I legitimately found, for the first time (and on my own terms), the things that I had faith in that keep me rolling to this day.

But...I'm a work in progress.

We're all a work in progress.

For, before the 4th of May of this year, I admit to you all, here and now, that I was living my life Luka-warm. And never, in my 30 years of basketball fandom, did I feel so spewed out as when I truly realized that I was denying Luka.

Because this offensive savant, who despite not being able to guard a chair, has risen above the dregs of the rest of us to pre-ascend to his throne. And all of this? This is without help. And, oh, you just wait until he gets it. Because never have I felt my own mortality as I do now when I realized that we are all truly living on borrowed time. Because when Luka gets his help, that's it. There will be no more. No beginning and no end; this is Luka Dončić.

My advice to you all? Do what I did; Let Go and Let Luka.™ or #LGALL for those of you more social media savvy than I. And do this...do this before it's too late.

Also, there's a game tonight. But after all we've witnessed, we must ask ourselves, does it even matter?

Regardless, I say solemnly in my insolence:

Go Suns !!

Dis • cuss

Cogito, ergo Luka

As long as we get Reggie calling the game again, all is right in the world. Well, Reggie and Scott Foster refereeing, that is.

If Suns whoop Mavd today, they should fire Kidd’s ass. Y’all see the shit he said about Luka?

Could careless about the Mavericks. I hope we pound their ass into submission again tonight. That's about as far as my care goes for that team.

But he isn't even right about it. They weren't hunting him by just putting him in pick and roll. They were picking on him every way they could. It was really fun to see.

Suns got to come out tonight getting all the loose balls and demonstrating to the refs they’re in control of what they’re doing defensively. The whistle otherwise seems to be Against them.

That was a nasty fall. You could tell it was bothering him at the end of the game. I think they should have pulled him after the fall just as a precaution.

Craig is having a rough go
Unfortunate man

Monty did sneak in Ish during the first half the other night and then regardless of it being garbage time, he swished a pretty corner 3 and his shot been looking improved for a bit now.
