Hannity, Carlson among Fox stars being deposed in Dominion lawsuit
https://thehill.com/regulation/court-ba ... n-lawsuit/
Dominion’s lawyers have argued in court filings that Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch and other leaders at Fox Corp. knowingly allowed the network to air false claims of voter fraud, saying they “decided to promote former President Trump’s narrative after Trump’s condemnation of Fox damaged its stock and viewership.”
Fox has moved to have the case dismissed on First Amendment grounds, and in June a Delaware Superior Court judge ruled the case against Fox could proceed.

I do think Fox is going to have to give up some big money to Dominion. They knew they were telling lies about Dominion's voting machines, but they kept airing them anyway, ostensibly on a "news" network. They should be liable for defamation.

Lawfare has done up a really nice summary of what we know as evidence related to January 6. It does a solid job clarifying and debunking some of the most common talking points used to defend Trump and other GOP behavior on and up to that day.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/10/politics ... index.html
Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas presented an honorary American flag recently flown above the US Capitol to a convicted January 6 rioter after she was released from prison Friday.

"Dr. Gold is the definition of what a political prisoner looks like -- something I never thought I'd see here in the United States of America," Gohmert said.
Gold is a well-known Covid-19 conspiracy theorist who was sentenced to 60 days in prison in June for her involvement in the January 6 riot. She is the founder of America's Frontline Doctors, a group that received national attention for spreading false claims about Covid-19, pushing unproven treatments like hydroxychloroquine and later lying about the FDA-authorized vaccines.

Not part of the 1/6 hearings, but it relates to prosecutions from that day.

Um, so they were calling the rioters from the White House land line during the riot?

I kept comparing this to the Beer Hall Putsch and people just roll their eyes. We are closer to a coup happening today than we were on J6 based on all of the changes nut jobs have been making to local and state laws about elections.

It's really sad to see US Republicans happily celebrating the rise of extremists and authoritarians worldwide, such as that crazy lady who just got elected to lead Italy.

History repeats itself. It has been almost 100 years since Mussolini rose to power, with Hitler's first coup attempt coming right after. I wonder what the over/under is for the human race surviving another world war when so many people have nukes.

Trump asks SCOTUS to intervene in his case with the FBI/DOJ about the seized documents from the raid. This doesn't seem valid to me or likely to work.
