Just finished Black Bird. Would definitely recommend it. I was surprised to learn how much of it is actually true.
I will have to check it out because Lehane is a great writer. Hopefully it translates, because not all great authors are great TV show writers.

I enjoyed the first 3 eps of Andor. I think it’s got potential to be the best of the Star Wars shows. Definitely the most adult.

(Kenobi was dull and didn’t do it for me)
Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton, Batum, Chris Boucher, Amir Coffey, Tre Jones, Laravia, Mamukelashvili, Tre Mann, De'Anthony Melton, Minott, Nance, Chris Paul, T. Prince, Reed, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Tate, Watford, Yabusele

Loved Andor so far, it’s been the best Star Wars show since Mandalorian. Too early to tell if it’ll be better. I didn’t love Kenobi either. It’s been better than all the Marvel shows I think as well.

Sandman was great. The last episode seemed like a departure or at least a bit disconnected but even that episode was very enjoyable. Definitely recommend. Looking forward to future seasons. Plus it's Neil Gaiman. Come on.

It's on Netflix if anybody else is wondering. I may have to check it out.

I thought the first half of Sandman's season was a lot more interesting than the second half, when the plot changed course and it was a little too much of a kids' show for me (in terms of dialogue, characters, etc). I was kind of bored watching it.

I read everything you just said on several IMDB user reviews. First half is definitely more dark, disturbing and absolutely adult. The 2nd half does have a different tone and storyline. It marries closely to the graphic novel. I could have used much more Constantine the 2nd half. She sure is kind to the eyes. I must be in a bit of the 50/50 split that was still entertained by the 2nd half, even with the different direction. They didn't close many storylines so hopefully season 2 addresses much of that.

The show needs some normal, human characters to act as audience avatars and ground it. Think about that second half, every character that wasn't a god/demon/whatever was a flamboyant caricature, weirdo, serial killer or just a human pretending to be a god/demon/whatever. It was all just silly.

Latest season of Handmaid's Tale has been a doozy.

Episode 6 of Andor was the best hour of Star Wars since Rogue One.

If you’re entertained by close-up shots of Elizabeth Moss making weird faces 45 times an episode, sure.

Lol. My wife and I have made that joke numerous times this season already. "Alright, cue a dramatized slow shot of Elizabeth Moss looking like she's giving birth or taking a shit". At least the most recent episode available, episode 6, had a little less of that. The first 2 or 3 episodes were definitely a slow burn. Bradley Whitford still gets us to laugh regularly with his lines.

I quit that show after season 2 and haven't regretted it a bit!

I need to make time for this show. I haven't seen it yet, but Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars thing I have seen since I was 10.

Has anyone here tried to catch the episodes of the new show on Prime, called 'The Peripheral'?

I watched the first 2 so far, and I'm intrigued. It's been pretty entertaining so far.

Never heard of it. Then again, I still haven't watched the Pratt action/thriller that's on my list.

Speaking of Prime, I did enjoy Reacher. Anybody else watch that?

Yes, and I'm looking forward to the next season...if they renewed it.

Recently we finished Bad Sisters which I mostly enjoyed. Now we are on to The Tourist and I am intrigued after the first episode.
