7 Suns in double figures, wow. Didn't expect that based on the halftime stats. I do think we missed Ayton tonight despite a strong 16 and 7 from Landale. Rockets kind of hung around most of the game until we pulled away at the end. I have paid little attention to Sengun but I want to echo whoever said they wished the Suns had him; he had nice moves and seemed like a great young big. Suns had a bit of trouble stopping Porter Jr from attacking the basket and drawing contact. I worry that we don't really have an answer for that "wrecking ball" style of play that Lebron used to do so well, and now guys like Giannis give us fits with. Happy to see Shamet hit double figures for once; Payne also had 12. Cam Johnson found his shooting stroke and hit five 3s. Chris Paul had another night that felt quiet (and badly missed some long jumpers and 3s) but somehow he managed to get 15 assists along with 10 points.

Not a real impressive game tonight - they've been coasting for the last couple of quarters and haven't put the Rockets away.
They played with their food until winning time.

Will the Suns miss Ayton challenge
What’s the Ayton challenge?
Boomer.
OK Sweet James.
Too far. I'm filing a complaint.
LOL. I’m sorry. That was pretty low.

Rockets announcers, "Outrebounding the best rebounding team in the league by TEN!" No mention of DA being out.
Congrats to the Rockets for winning the rebounding battle.

This little technical fracas looks to me like it's mostly Lee's fault. I don't like players who grab the opponents' arms and then flail about and act like they were grabbed. Get that Draymond Green shit outta here, Lee.
The refs totally disagreed. One of the rare times when both sides didn’t get a tech.

Rox announcers were apoplectic about that scuffle & who got punished. "I don't understand Lee getting no punishment!"

I feel like Landale is a guy we can possibly, maybe trust for some consistent, effective minutes in the postseason. But we'll need at least 2 more of those guys. One will hopefully be an external candidate and then one from the Payne/Shamet/Torrey group.

Kind of an annoying game. The Rockets aren't really that good, just a bunch of athletic wings who can make some plays and get some BS off. They're more a collection of players than pieces that fit together well. Good to see Book get back on track after the previous game. Love seeing Cam and Mikal being aggressive and really like Mikal screening at times with CP - there's a little Matrix there. But he had some nice takes and a tough finish that should've been a foul, maybe over time he'll get that call.

I'm already wondering what kind of money he'll be in for in the offseason if he keeps up this kind of play. He's a guy I could easily see teams throwing some money and a starting job at (even tho they may be disappointed later on). It might not even be big money, just move than we're willing to pay and more minutes that we can promise - not unlike JaVale and the Mavs this summer.

I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't get out of control and he doesn't get carried away with it. You need some guys willing to be chippy and have an edge. Crowder brought that, it's nice to see Lee bring some of it to the table. We're not a big team and you don't want to be labeled soft on top of it.

I’m not into that kind of playing either. There’s chippy with an edge and then there’s just cheating. Grabbing someone and pretending they are grabbing you is a cheating. He got away with it twice on the same play, which will probably only encourage him to do it more.

Here's the play...I think the initial foul was legit as they got tangled up on the inbounds play. He walks in between KPJ and Matthews as KPJ had his arm out questioning the call, slaps KPJ's hand away and KPJ gave him a shove. Then Matthews got involved. He got the reaction he wanted from KPJ and Matthews - it's chippy. Nothing dirty IMO and I'll be glad if he can get that reaction from someone like Luka or Draymond.

I see it differently. I see him hook his arm around Mathew’s arm and pretend Mathew is holding him when the opposite is true.

To me the video plainly shows Lee hooking his arm into the Rockets player and then push/pull to make it look like the Rocket pushed him and grabbed him. I actually don't think the Rockets did anything wrong; they just got ref-baited by Lee.

Ya Lee orchestrated the whole thing…at least the after the play stuff. I think the original foul call was right, even if Lee sold it.

The original foul call was definitely right, but I don’t understand how the techs were handled.

The technicals look like a bit of an overreaction. Especially the one on Mathews.
