It's fucked up how the Bolsonaristas have co-opted the Brazil soccer shirt as their de facto uniform.

That would be like a politician selling baseball hats that say "America is the Best!". Oh, wait...

Not strictly 1/6, but it looks like Trump may be indicted in Georgia election scheme.

Not sure if you saw it... But supposedly McCarthy released an ungodly amount of January 6th footage to Tucker Carlson.... I can only imagine the "super cut" he's going to put together to down play 1/6.

Thanks for the warning. I can imagine all the slow motion action of the Capital police hugging the rioters and then escorting them into the Capital stopping for selfies.

These court documents and filings from the Fox / Dominion lawsuit are pretty amazing. Internal conversations between Fox leadership reveal that they willingly and knowingly peddled disinformation for money (e.g. Lindell sponsorship/ad $$$), to try to boost ratings, etc. It's so damning. Read this thread.

This is Trump's attorney admitting under oath that she lied about the 2020 election repeatedly, that her actions “undermined the American public’s confidence in the presidential elections, violating her duty of candor” and that she had a “selfish motive” while engaged in a “pattern of misconduct."

Well, it restores my belief that not everybody is an idiot. I mean they are liars and crooks but at least they didn't really believe the bullshit they espoused. The My Pillow guy though I have to believe is just a straight up idiot.

I guess they won’t try that scam again. I’m sure they will come up with a few new scams for the next election.

Conservative Case Emerges to Disqualify Trump for Role on Jan. 6
https://dnyuz.com/2023/08/10/conservati ... -on-jan-6/
Two prominent conservative law professors have concluded that Donald J. Trump is ineligible to be president under a provision of the Constitution that bars people who have engaged in an insurrection from holding government office. The professors are active members of the Federalist Society, the conservative legal group, and proponents of originalism, the method of interpretation that seeks to determine the Constitution’s original meaning.

“Donald Trump cannot be president — cannot run for president, cannot become president, cannot hold office — unless two-thirds of Congress decides to grant him amnesty for his conduct on Jan. 6.”

There is, the article said, “abundant evidence” that Mr. Trump engaged in an insurrection, including by setting out to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election, trying to alter vote counts by fraud and intimidation, encouraging bogus slates of competing electors, pressuring the vice president to violate the Constitution, calling for the march on the Capitol and remaining silent for hours during the attack itself.

“It is unquestionably fair to say that Trump ‘engaged in’ the Jan. 6 insurrection through both his actions and his inaction,” the article said.
