Wow! He's been a part of my life for the majority of it. Heartbreak hotel!

Thanks Al, for all the years of Suns excitement.

He's been broadcasting Suns games since before I was born.

In the '90s I lived in Tucson and didn't have cable, so I couldn't really watch the Suns games. So I'd listen to the radio feed on KTAR. Al would describe the game so vividly, it was like I was there. He made it so much fun to just sit up in my room listening to this man describe a sport I couldn't even see. Seems wild to think about nowadays with the ubiquity of streams and HD 4K everything. Won't ever forget him.

I’ve got ya beat: I used to listen to KTAR when I was living in San Diego.

Powerful signal, that station.

Amazing how perfectly you just described someone else's childhood (mine).

I first heard Al when he did radio broadcasts of the Phoenix Giants (then San Francisco Giants Triple A team).
He also was a DJ on a local Top40 AM station at that time.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?

Lakers fans to buy the beer and destroy it on social media. I’m loving this new trend.

I don't think I told this story before but my son had a bad basketball injury where somebody jumped on his head on the floor for a loose ball and my son lost a tooth and chipped another in half. A family friend got word to Al and he sent my son a really nice email. Al is one of the great ones. In all ways.

The big question: who had to pay for the dental work? Does medical insurance pay for that kind of thing, or does the school he was playing for when he was injured help with the cost, or is it all out of pocket?

Medical insurance + out of pocket deductible. Didn’t pursue the school but it was definitely flagrant and unnecessary.

Al made driving on second shift fun. I almost felt like I was getting away with something because Al made me feel like I was watching the game live instead of working. I met him at a gig at a restaurant once as he was leaving with his wife. Super nice guy and an accomplished pianist. I really wanted the Suns to give him a Championship to go out on. That would have been perfect.

These tweets usually lack some context or off with some of the prices
Not my first time posting one for y'all lol so my apologies to those who think these are silly   but for those who can't help but do What Ifs or just have a laugh.....

Just a little switch from the off-season bonanza :D
Felt it was fitting to dust off Legend Al's thread as he obviously was here for all these guys

What is bad is that I make the post and don't have my squad 😅😂

I only know it's Book for sure, wanna pair him with Amare
Then I'm stuck lol

Luv The Twin obviously but Mikal at $4 can't work and I figure most would expect me to add Cam at $2 with Book/Amare....

Ya the way they set it up you can’t have two $5 guys. Almost have to take 3 $2 guys.

I’d go Dragic/Booker/CamJ/Marion/Gortat
