It’s definitely real…the question is whether it’s an actual injury…or if it’s just sore

Soreness + load mgt seems probable too. Why not make your bench guys step the hell up for a meaningful game against a diminished squad. Vogel wants to get the most out of his guys. This isn’t Monty with pedal to the floor on his stars.

If he can play I think he will. I think we really want this game and want to make the in-season tournament elimination stage. Not a time we would load manage him. Don’t risk injury of course, but this game should be our most meaningful regular season game currently on the schedule.

I'm sure it's based on our opponent. Hopefully we get to see the old aggressive offensively Book.
There's no way they're just resting him when it's a tournament game. This means it's a real injury. Since the big 3 can never play together, maybe this means Beal can come back soon? :P
I don't know about that. I think it's the fact that it's the lowly Grizzlies and that they are decimated by injuries that we think we can win without him.
But we need to blow them out, not just win.

And...he's out. :(

Perhaps 37 MPG is too much for an injury prone 35-year old?

It’s 1 game(for now), I don’t think anyone was expecting 82 games for KD

OK, blow them out without him then.

Anyone watching? Suns don’t seem too happy with the refs early

We do really need to figure out how to play well without our big 3…pretty ugly so far

Refs letting a lot of stuff go inside. EG and KBD going at the rim but no calls. Okogie posterized Bane on the baseline. A lot of ball movement so far, some PointNurk when Book is sitting. Guys seem hesitant to look for their shots so it's EG kind of leading the offense so far. KBD isn't a real dynamic scorer, would like to see Allen be more aggressive.

2 point lead after 1…need to be better. Not sure an 8 point is in will be enough.

What is that that Booker has been wearing under his jersey? It looks like a t-shirt that he raggedly cut the sleeves off of with a pair of scissors.

I thought Nurkic was pretty good on both ends from what I saw. Three turnovers in a quarter is too much for Book (Cleary) and they miss Eubanks as the first big off the bench.

I keep having the exact same observation! Maybe he's just wearing it until we lose?
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I bet the on/off stats for Book in this game are going to be pretty staggering. We look pretty "meh" without him on the floor.
