I'm not a fan of the western font personally, but I know a lot of fans like it and have been asking for it. I do like the historical reference they are going for. The combination of the western font and the '95 all-star game is kinda weird, but I don't hate it. I LOVE the purple.
Often these uniforms look better when worn during games; let's hope that's the case with this one.
As a side comment, I despised the move to orange during the Sarver years (it's an accent, people!). Purple historically has been the primary color for the Suns, and I love that they are getting back to it during Ishbia's tenure.

I'm definitely going for my usual +60 wins when the poll comes out this season!Mori Chu wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 10:26 pmI have seen / heard multiple pundits saying that the top 4 teams in the West for the coming season are, in some order: OKC, Denver, Minny, Dallas. They generally aren't mentioning the Suns. I think we're going to be pretty darn good unless we have a catastrophic injury.

I think it would have worked better if they hadn't mixed the styles on the front. Maybe they could have used a six-pointed sheriff star?
And I hope the colors aren't quite this muted when they're revealed.

The orange is one thing but who's bright idea was it to add gray during the Steve Nash era?Carno wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 12:11 pmI'm not a fan of the western font personally, but I know a lot of fans like it and have been asking for it. I'll give you that. Didn't like it on the uniforms though.
I can't believe I'm going to a Suns game in Phoenix in less than a month! I'm really looking forward to see what we look like this season. Pretty low bar to beat from last season.

I agree with you, but it's crazy to think that last season was such a low bar when they nearly won 50 games.

True. It was the way it played out. And the 0-4 playoff sweep didn't help at all. I guess it was the most frustrating, nearly 50 win season you could possibly have.

Re: 2024 Suns General Offseason News
How do we see the backup PF situation? The only players on the roster who played more than 30% of their minutes at PF last year are KD and Bol. (Last year, Young, Metu, Yuta, KBD, Roddy and Wainright all did it.) This of course does not include Oso, but if the second-round pick turns out to be a rotation player as a rookie, we did really well in the draft.
Unless we have confidence in Bol or Oso, we’ll have to go with a wing at PF when KD’s off the floor. Who’s best suited?

I assumed Bol was our backup PF and Plumlee was our backup C.Cap wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 3:58 pmHow do we see the backup PF situation? I'm betting Wally's still upset we couldn't pair Boban and Bol Bol together
Re: 2024 Suns General Offseason News
When I posted my example minutes distribution, I got a lot of pushback on Bol being such a key figure (a whopping 12 minutes). I’m wondering what the alternatives are.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 4:27 pmI assumed Bol was our backup PF and Plumlee was our backup C.Cap wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 3:58 pmHow do we see the backup PF situation? And what the hell are we going to do when KD’s out of the lineup? Can we trade one of our excess wings (Lee, O’Neale, Okogie) for some help at PF? We’ve already got Book, Beal and Allen. Barring an injury-plagued season, we can’t use all six of them.
Okogie and O’Neale won’t be trade eligible for a while because they recently resigned, but I think they can be moved before the trade deadline. Lee probably has little if any trade value. And Okogie is a BYC player IINM, which complicates trading him. So I guess Royce is the only real option.

PF is our biggest weakness and there's no close second. Hopefully we'll pick up someone at the trade deadline.Cap wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 8:11 pmWhen I posted my example minutes distribution, I got a lot of pushback on Bol being such a key figure (a whopping 12 minutes).
