We traded a triple swap in ‘26. Hot. But also, at least we got one. Re: Suns News: Week 12 (1/6-1/12/25)
I don't know if Ishbia has it in him to admit it was a failed trade. I do know one thing, Ishbia isn't going to blow it all up and trade all of the big three. But KD alone would get us some decent assets. Not as good as what we gave up but pretty decent. That could go a long way toward allowing us to retool around Booker and the rooks and our good role players. Definitely need some young, bouncy bigs though.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 12:16 pmWhy the Phoenix Suns Should Trade Kevin Durant

Yes, that was the consensus (minus one) and even in hindsight, it was the right move.England Sun wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 1:10 pmI knew you’d chirp up.
We were not set at centre.
Ayton needed to go. We got a good return in the trade.
We still have the better end of the deal.
But it won’t matter what anyone says.
You still have your Ayton blinkers on and will never see past it.

The point is that Nurkic was supposed to be content with a small role, give maximum effort, with no complaining/moping. That was the whole reason given for trading Ayton.
We were set at center. But we destroyed ourselves, just like every other trade Ishbia has engineered.

It was probably their #2 draft pick after Jabbar, Neal Walk. I wasn't old enough to watch him play but he was a 20/10 guy.
